I kind of get the impression it's not longtime Destroyer stans who are most in love with Kaputt xp

it's very true that the love for this album is more "universal" than it is strictly "niche"

unsurprisingly this was a very convincing victory

This is partly about audience splits I think - I'm betting that a large segment of voters were split not just between Silent Shout and Fever Ray but also those and Third, whereas as a general rule I suspect the kind of voter who would put Kaputt first was not troubled by the lure of any other option.

on the other hand there are also possible errors in voting, in which some people may not have actually seen kaputt listed on the ballot.

FTR I think "Kaputt" is a great album but this poll is really about ILM taste factions not greatness.

Oh this is great. Kaputt beat Fever Ray and Silent Shout combined. Haha. Probably a few spite-voters, then.

Btw I just heard about this book about life behind german lines in WW2 called Kaputt. Do you guys think the name of the record has anything to do with that? It would really bring something to the record, I think, this sense of the living in this world gone completely wrong.
