thx to yesterdays update (xcom/uncharted 3/lbp karting/machinarium) basically my ps3 is going to chow on bandwidth until it catches on fire today while i am at work. btw xcom (at least for me) took FUCKING FOREVER to install.

I couldn't background download anything as of last night at 1:30 AM, it was super annoying

ha yes that was also a problem i was having, which led me to finding out that my ps3 was trying to download uncharted 3 twice.

So with PSN+ a requisite for ps4 online, is everyone going to join PSN+ now on some 6 free months deal, then start buying games for a non existent Vita in case they drop off the list, then oh shit, I just bought a Vita.

Then on the walk home, you realise Kaz Hirai just played you......

i am glad they made it easier to cancel out of it. i used to always open it instead of life with playstation and have to wait a few minutes to close it.

Getting increasingly tempted with all this PS+ stuff. Is it totally crazy that it's even making me consider getting a Vita because why not; if I got PS+ anyway I'd be stupid not to get a Vita to take advantage of those 'free' games...

the GBA and DS were legendary systems to me, easily on par with the the consoles of their day

i've got a dumb question - there's a youtube app for ps3 right? for some reason it doesnt show up for me to install but its supposed to be where the hulu and netflix apps are... or did they get rid of it?

been turning around my opinion wrt infamous 2 - now that i have the groove down srt controls, it seems pretty fun! its def a low rent arkham city in a lot of ways, but there seems to be lots of shit to do and its only sometimes a bit samey, less so than prototype for sure. some uh questionable characters going on (the voodoo priestess lady is really really overdone and maybe kinda sorta racisty).

i am totally down with doing a battlefield 3 clan thing. i am not absolutely terrible at FPS, but I am def not gonna be a high level competitor.

Is there friendly fire in Battlefield? Because I probably shouldn't be behind anyone if that's the case.

I'll also happily join in at shit battlefield. Only ever played 1943 and was awful at it.

It's a very well-made game, but a bit vanilla in terms of how warfare is presented. More of a sim than arcade compared to some other games.

Just went hog wild on this summer sale thing - Scott pilgrim, mortal kombat, ratchet and clank collection, and shadow of the colossus, all for under $20

Of those I have only ever played mortal kombat, looking forward to playing it on a new and responsive controller instead of my diseased 360 controller.

Ps+ for shadow of the colossus is $5 ATM. On the down side so far I kind of hate it.

I bought that HD disc and sold it after a weekend. Both games looked neat and were interesting concepts with some of the shittiest controls ever devised.
