right so batum had like 6-8-8 going into the fourth and my buddy and I were on high triple double alert. He gets to 8-11-11 or something with a minute to go and the spurs are fouling and batum is the standard inbounder so he never has a shot to take free throws. blazers have the ball after a spurs miss with a couple seconds left and lillard tosses it to batum around half court and screams JUST SHOOT IT and batum takes a couple steps and swishes it for a three as the clock expires. Totally cheap but kinda incredible and we went nuts regardless.

lamarcus seems to have jumped up a level, every shot he takes feels good and looks smart. lillard is in mid-season form, looks totally confident and never lost, which is kinda scary for a second year guy. robin lopez is basically useless. starting to get "second coming of kirilenko" feelings outta batum. team could be better than I thought.

"Discontinued dribble" is another point of emphasis this year so the refs are watching for palming, carries etc a little more. As usual that will totally subside within a few weeks
