ok this episode was great. the principals name is the same as my last name. and everyone calls him by his last name. so that's a little weird for me.

the stevie janowski character has gotten more enjoyable. i couldn't take him at the beginning.

this show is amazing. the will Ferrell Ric Flair impersonation episode kind of sucked and had me worried but the past two have picked right up where the first one left off.

I put a big Kenny powers quote in a thread on ilm about "Spoonman'" but no one got it

saw the 1st three - its super uneven sometimes in charming way - def potential to get awzom

warmed to this show with 4&5. especially 5: taking out darryl-from-the-office's eye was kind of amazing.

i think i really warmed to it when Stevie Janowski started with the whole Kenny Powers emulation stuff. so fucking funny

yah that dudes super hilarious he was so rad at the cookout - also kenny powers seemed kinda typical and easy at first but his evolutions pretty well played - expected it to either go full loser or just redeemable and resigned but as evidenced by head hunting at the dealership hes channeling his mojo in sweet directions

totes agree with all of this - at first i was super skeptical and now i love it... some of the best swearing dialogue ever!

i play real sports, not trying to be the best at exercising.

also the scene where he's walking down the hall pumping his hips and doing the pistol finger thing with music playing in slo mo and then it cuts to non-slomo, no music, everyone ignoring him, is still f'ing killing me

the scene that kills me again and again:

sister in law is explaining how to use ebay and he asks her why she's helping him and she goes into this long bit about how she believes in helping family members because it bestows blessings on her blah blah blah
and he's playing with a pair of y-fronts all this time and interrupts her, holding the y-front open so that her face is visible through the hole and goes

yeah...i don't know what format the character would've worked in better (movie? sketches?) but i don't know if it's enough to support a half hour series...they stretched the premise so thin in 6 episodes that i was relieved they stopped there and gave it a nice little arc, more than that would've been overkill.

I reckon this as a movie would've been too foot fist way-like.

finally got around to this on Prime. first few episodes were grating but I'm glad I read the thread and stuck with it cos it's had me howling since. Kenny popping out the dude's eye. Kenny Powers 'freestyling' on his girlfriend's track. Steve making awkward jizz sound effects, "that's your dick, buttfucking her". Kenny coming onto the field riding a fuckin' donkey.

steve has got to be the most hilariously pathetic character in the history of american television
