is there any really good reason for leaving Howard in the game when they start fouling. why not just put Asik in? he can hit enough FTs to make the tactic worthless, and you'd be hard pressed to argue that there's any drop off in defense at all.

like what's the rationale for letting the other team pull such a "stop hitting yourself!" move when you have a perfectly viable alternative lineup?

haha yes this is secretly the best part

ah he's not great but the Thunder tried this tactic on him during the playoffs and he made most of them. irrc it was, weirdly, during the 3rd quarter.

anyway just seems foolhardy to not engineer some sort of response other than "he's gotta make em" especially when you have the personnel to render it moot and hardly sacrifice anything.

well idk i mean that foul was with like 2:12 remaining, any intentional foul inside 2 mins is shots + ball anyway

they passed him the ball on an inbounds play where the lakers had to foul anyway was the really effed up think that happened

Pachulia will allow only cautious optimism, because he tried to work the same deal with the Hawks when Atlanta changed floors a few years ago, only to see things fall through in the end, he says. As soon as he heard the Bucks would switch floors, he asked ownership and his own team of advisers if it might be possible to try again.
