Nets are maybe not that good and Kidd is totally possibly not a good coach or totally possibly not but I've heard David Thorpe yap a lot and for a dude who gets a lot of run talking about hoops I've yet to hear him be correct

did waiters really break kyrie's nose????? what in the world

le goon (J0rdan S.), Sunday, 17 November 2013 15:00 (ten years ago) link

i wanted to make fun of the cavs for taking waiters fourth overall in 2012 but looking at that draft is was prob defensible

le goon (J0rdan S.), Sunday, 17 November 2013 15:01 (ten years ago) link

The Cavs front office likes exotic stats right? I remember reading that's what was behind the Waiters pick.

Matt Armstrong, Monday, 18 November 2013 02:25 (ten years ago) link

pretty tempting to think that the organizational dysfunction of the Cavs filters down from Comic Sans.

btw, Marc Gasol has started balling so hard.

The New York Knicks continue to dangle Iman Shumpert in trade talks, including a recent proposal to the Celtics that would send the third-year guard and Amar'e Stoudemire to Boston in an effort to obtain star point guard Rajon Rondo, league sources confirmed Sunday.

The Celtics, though, have yet to show interest in the deal

lol

lag∞n, Monday, 18 November 2013 03:38 (ten years ago) link

Shumpert had secret offseason knee surgery tho

Matt Armstrong, Monday, 18 November 2013 04:48 (ten years ago) link

asik is worth like a billion shumps

lag∞n, Monday, 18 November 2013 04:50 (ten years ago) link

especially since he had his high top removed in secret offseason surgery

lag∞n, Monday, 18 November 2013 04:50 (ten years ago) link

Knicks make Shumpert available in trade talks, 2 days later we find out he had his knee scoped. Only the Knicks.

Matt Armstrong, Monday, 18 November 2013 04:53 (ten years ago) link

Jimmy Butler cut his hair too, what's going on

Matt Armstrong, Monday, 18 November 2013 04:54 (ten years ago) link

shumpert for asik is stupid for both teams imo!!

twist boat veterans for stability (k3vin k.), Monday, 18 November 2013 05:12 (ten years ago) link

I think trading Asik for a nice pick is fine

Matt Armstrong, Monday, 18 November 2013 05:14 (ten years ago) link

asik is twice the player shump is, and the knicks iirc don't have any other players or picks to sweeten the deal. rockets need a 3 or a 4, not another small. asik doesn't work on the knicks for the same spacing reasons he hasn't worked on the rockets. i'm sure they'd love to stagger his and chandler's minutes to protect melo/bargs on D but asik is too good a player to be getting less than 30 mins a night

twist boat veterans for stability (k3vin k.), Monday, 18 November 2013 05:14 (ten years ago) link

asik doesn't *really* make sense for the knicks but i mean beggars can't be choosers!

houston could use another 4 but they seem content to play small and considering how consistently horrifying their perimeter defense is, i feel like they could use shumpert

but the salaries don't match up anyhow. i don't see how the knicks are gonna be able to make any trade whatsoever.
