i think it is okay not to call the foul but once the flag went down picking it up is a bad look when there is any doubt. it just makes the game seem like it was decided by the officials and it was too good a game for that. i hope that isn't the storyline out of the game.

i mean i know what the rules are but mostly i'm pissed that regardless of the throw kuechly's interference was unbelievably blatant, like could you even try to play legal pass defense?

i love belichick's 'i saw what you saw' -> saying 'let the league explain it, this is bullshit' without actually saying it

illegal contact and holding both have to be before the pass. and PI the ball has to be catchable, and in the circumstances you can't say for sure either decision would be wrong. but yeah changing the decision is the worst option.

fwiw i am gonna disagree and say that panthers didn't really deserve to win on the balance of play, but they are def a good team.

funny thing about getting the three seed from the pats perspective is that they'd be likely to face either the dolphins (rightfully no pats fan would think twice about the pats crushing miami) or the jets (every pats fan would be shitting his pants)

there's a good chance neither miami or the jets makes it in. next week jets @ bmore is basically huge. ravens have 3 winnable games at home coming up that would get them to 7-6. and miami and the jets have to play each other twice yet.

but yeah, adding bmore to the mix does not help new england's cause. that is 3 potential matchups out of 4 (inc. kansas city) for their first playoff game where basically they need the opposition offense to lose the game. all for the eventual reward of being one score ahead at the start of the 4th quarter vs the broncos and then losing by 21 points.
