roy i feel like was not as tragic cause we knew his knees were fucked up going in, hill is similar tho his was this one injury that just never went away, rose comes back healthy from catastrophic injury then blows his other knee out my god

Maybe it's the case that his knees won't be fully impervious until they've been rebuilt one time

he shd prob take three years off to rehab this time

i doubt i can find the highlight but PP shot one of the worst threes i've ever seen last night. from straight on and it bounced off the rim like he was playing dodgeball.

is he cooked? bkn looks all kinds of awful.

that is the one team that surprises me the most so far. knicks being terrible not news. that bkn core should be enough to win games and be competitive. #firekidd

i think it's too early to compare rose to any of those guys just yet. roy and oden both had, like, pre-existing degenerative conditions.

grant hill might not be a terrible comparison actually. but we'll have to see what happens. two ACL tears isn't a death knell tho he almost certainly wouldn't be the same player.

i'm shocked by this even considering the injuries. i wonder how much of it is j kidd. i mean they beat the heat at home while he was still on DUI suspension.

i haven't seen enough of brooklyn to say whether the coach is a big part of the problem (though logically that makes sense) but i do wonder to what extent pierce and kg are feeling unmoored and mentally fucked up--two guys who had thrived on stability coming into a very weird situation, and no player from the likes of williams, johnson, lopez wld seem to have the capability to rally them.

and then they look at their coach and say something to the effect of last time we saw you, you were shooting .176 against us in the playoffs.

yeah it seems like a pretty toxic situation. the idea of KG & PP not being invested seems possible if not likely... brook/joe johnson/d will is not exactly the most inspiring trio

KG and PP both seem like the kind of veterans who could emotionally detach themselves from a situation like the Nets. They won't dog it, but they won't fully commit either.

theyve had injuries too fwiw, deron tore it up the 2nd half of last year but so far he does not look at all the same

yeah but they're pretty deep. a team with joe johnson, KG, PP etc shouldn't be playing like this UNLESS the latter two are totally cooked in which case the problems run much deeper

i could def see this team still clicking but their ceiling in my eyes has for sure been lowered bigtim

also coaching seems like itd be pretty key as far as figuring out how to use guys on their last legs picking their spots etc

its seeems like if deron and brook were clicking you could use pierce/johnson/garnett as shooters and they shld be able to do that but idk

rather than floor spacing they seem to be spending a lot of time taking turns posting up which is just nagl

anyway they shd get karl and everyone can have fun and they can lose in the 2nd round to miami in 5 with four of the games toss ups going into the last 5 mins

Was just thinking how I was sad AK opted out of his TWolves deal but it was probably the best thing that happened to us, wouldn't have been able to sign Brewer or KMart otherwise

I mean that's fine maybe you can be a rally kind of guy like Doc but J Kidd is not Doc
