from what i hear rose tore the medial meniscus, which from what i understand is a less severe injury than if he'd torn the lateral meniscus. not sure how long it would take him to recover, they'd probably treat him with kid gloves once again. was this the same injury as westbrook?

Rose will need surgery, but the injury is not unlike the one suffered by Oklahoma City’s Russell Westbrook during last year’s playoffs. Westbrook tore the lateral meniscus in his left knee and later needed cleanup surgery, but he appears no worse for wear during his particular comeback. Chicago won’t know if Rose will be out for the season until the surgery is performed, but there is a sound chance he could return this season.

Honestly, strategically handing out DNP-OLDs every four or five games probably helps more than limiting minutes throughout the season. Bosh and Bron are enough to fall back on if/when they did decide to start resting him, too. He's been so hit-or-miss for the last few seasons, but he can still have a jaw-dropping quarter here or there.

god, looking at the eastern conference right now...all the tank mode teams are hovering in the middle of low-playoff/barely missing it zone (orl, bos, philly, charlotte), the teams aiming for mediocrity or better fell short (nyk, bkn, mil)

i looked at the all-star ballots the other day and the disparity in talent from one conference to the other seemed historically large xxxp

nba needs relegation, bottom 10 teams to d-league after this season, remaining 20 teams play 4 games against each, make games 40 minutes long, you're welcome
