There's a small chance that the East could be _really_ ugly-- even though the Pacers have looked fantastic so far, they've had one of the easiest schedules. Next week they start a 10-game chunk that includes Clippers, Blazers, Spurs, OKC, Heat x 2, Pistons and Rockets. If they have any meltdown potential, that's probably when it'll come out.

Also shed a tear that the main leaders in all OFF/DEF stats seem to be normalized, have to wait another year for wacky leaderboards.

yeah the pacers seem due for a lil regression easy sched plus some of their guys have been playing out of their minds george cant miss stevensons got two trip dubs, still v solid tho their defense obvs you cant f with, but the heat also are also lookin a lil suspicious, wade only plays sometime and bron cant shoot this well all year

lag∞n, Sunday, 24 November 2013 22:44 (ten years ago) link

im sad abt rose things would be so much more interesting with him

lag∞n, Sunday, 24 November 2013 22:46 (ten years ago) link

john wall is a clear all star IMO

― le goon (J0rdan S.), Sunday, November 24, 2013 4:34 PM (2 hours ago)

he's shooting like 39%

k3vin k., Sunday, 24 November 2013 23:45 (ten years ago) link

he has been turning the corner lately tho def

k3vin k., Sunday, 24 November 2013 23:45 (ten years ago) link

ok he's up to 41% now

k3vin k., Sunday, 24 November 2013 23:46 (ten years ago) link

is wall better than kyrie irving??

― Aimless, Sunday, November 24, 2013 4:52 PM (1 hour ago)

no way imo

k3vin k., Sunday, 24 November 2013 23:48 (ten years ago) link

jeff teague is arguably playing pg better than anyone in the east right now

Clay, Sunday, 24 November 2013 23:49 (ten years ago) link

yeah teague has been playing really well, doing so under the radar because he's jeff teague

k3vin k., Sunday, 24 November 2013 23:57 (ten years ago) link

and also bc hawks

shiny trippy people holding bandz (m bison), Monday, 25 November 2013 00:12 (ten years ago) link

i have a friend who's a huge jeff teague fan and always brags about "calling" teague being legit after seeing him in college and on youtube mixtapes or whatever, i always thought it was just the saddest thing

k3vin k., Monday, 25 November 2013 00:13 (ten years ago) link

not sad at all, i do this all the time and i am not sad ergo etc etc

shiny trippy people holding bandz (m bison), Monday, 25 November 2013 00:16 (ten years ago) link

jeff teague was p. good in college, no points scored for guessing he'd be a good pro.

call all destroyer, Monday, 25 November 2013 00:27 (ten years ago) link

Udrih has been pretty good but damn man you do not look like a pro athlete

Matt Armstrong, Monday, 25 November 2013 00:27 (ten years ago) link

Haha

Spottie, Monday, 25 November 2013 00:30 (ten years ago) link

udrih has not been pretty good. he's even more out of control than Felton!

Nhex, Monday, 25 November 2013 01:18 (ten years ago) link

At the buffet?

polyphonic, Monday, 25 November 2013 01:18 (ten years ago) link

just tried to fill out an all-star ballot.....i guess afflalo has been the best guard in the east this year? what a joke

― k3vin k., Sunday, 24 November 2013 19:56 (Yesterday) Bookmark Flag Post Permalink

No SG in the west has played better than him either tho

tsrobodo, Monday, 25 November 2013 01:28 (ten years ago) link

shooting guard has been a really weak position for awhile now. with wade playing every other night and kobe out, there's like one all-star quality 2 in the league (harden)

k3vin k., Monday, 25 November 2013 01:29 (ten years ago) link

Feel like Hardens midrangeless game might turn out to be snake oil in the long run.

Plus Afflalo's 22-5-5 ain't something to sniff at

tsrobodo, Monday, 25 November 2013 01:38 (ten years ago) link

klay counts as a sg right

Clay, Monday, 25 November 2013 01:43 (ten years ago) link

Afflalo is #1 in the NBA in PER among SGs

polyphonic, Monday, 25 November 2013 01:47 (ten years ago) link

yeah we have to deal with the fact that as it stands right now Spencer Hawes and Arron Afflalo deserve to be allstars

Matt Armstrong, Monday, 25 November 2013 01:49 (ten years ago) link

udrih has not been pretty good. he's even more out of control than Felton!

well he had that nice 18-6-4 game or whatever in his second start. Better than expected for a guy who looks like a video game vlogger.

Matt Armstrong, Monday, 25 November 2013 01:53 (ten years ago) link

oh yeah klay

k3vin k., Monday, 25 November 2013 01:57 (ten years ago) link

harden's avoidance of midrange jumper is the exact reason his game is not fluky! in fact once his 3s normalize he's going to absolutely explode -- he's shooting like 55% on 2s

k3vin k., Monday, 25 November 2013 01:59 (ten years ago) link

prob his twos will ]normalize too

lag∞n, Monday, 25 November 2013 02:00 (ten years ago) link

hes a cool player tho for sure just needs to learn D

lag∞n, Monday, 25 November 2013 02:01 (ten years ago) link

Then the playoffs come around, defences tighten up, transition dries up and he's borderline useless half the time. He needs a midrange and a post game.

tsrobodo, Monday, 25 November 2013 02:16 (ten years ago) link

Monta and K Mart are better than Klay right now.

tsrobodo, Monday, 25 November 2013 02:17 (ten years ago) link

idk ginobili seemed to have a pretty good career focusing on high value shots

lag∞n, Monday, 25 November 2013 02:17 (ten years ago) link

yeah that is just nonsense dude

k3vin k., Monday, 25 November 2013 02:18 (ten years ago) link

and yeah a handful of 2s in the_west are having nice starts but none of those guys are superstar caliber

k3vin k., Monday, 25 November 2013 02:19 (ten years ago) link

lol wtf is james harden ever going to do in the post

call all destroyer, Monday, 25 November 2013 02:23 (ten years ago) link

Hardly a fair comparison seeing as Ginobli has played in a slick ball moving outfit his entire career and had the benefit of playing with 2 future hall of famers throughout their prime. Besides the point anyway because Ginobli would not work as a primary scorer in the post season.

And how exactly is it nonsense? Have we not seen how Harden has struggled in the offs?

tsrobodo, Monday, 25 November 2013 02:25 (ten years ago) link

he had a really bad finals but has been good in the post eason otherwise iirc

lag∞n, Monday, 25 November 2013 02:30 (ten years ago) link

eh he had a rough series last year too

Matt Armstrong, Monday, 25 November 2013 02:32 (ten years ago) link

his career reg season and postseason stats are essentially the same

call all destroyer, Monday, 25 November 2013 02:34 (ten years ago) link

Except he becomes much less efficient

tsrobodo, Monday, 25 November 2013 02:35 (ten years ago) link

which is a completely common thing in the playoffs

lag∞n, Monday, 25 November 2013 02:36 (ten years ago) link

because the bad teams arent there

lag∞n, Monday, 25 November 2013 02:36 (ten years ago) link

according to what xxp

call all destroyer, Monday, 25 November 2013 02:36 (ten years ago) link

~21ppg in 05 playoffs, spurs won the title, and manu is obvs one of the absolute best players of his generation ffs god

lag∞n, Monday, 25 November 2013 02:38 (ten years ago) link

And his game suffers more than most. Its no secret that success in the offs is achieved through halfcourt play and he doesn't have that in his game.

tsrobodo, Monday, 25 November 2013 02:42 (ten years ago) link

^^^^ feel like i shd ban this tsroboto joker. manu from 03-06 was an all star and one of the craftiest motherfuckers on earth, no one could fuck with him. he carried argentina to gold and would absolutely have been a no 1 on a mediocre team

shiny trippy people holding bandz (m bison), Monday, 25 November 2013 02:43 (ten years ago) link

Not disputing that, don't know where you got the idea that I was but Tim Duncan was the primary scorer so not sure what you're getting at.

tsrobodo, Monday, 25 November 2013 02:43 (ten years ago) link

Whoa whoa whoa slow down buddy, tsrobodo you're saying some crazy things

First, who calls the playoffs the 'offs'

乒乓, Monday, 25 November 2013 02:43 (ten years ago) link

that manu was tha catalyst to that 05 team and FUCKING ARGENTINA DUDE

shiny trippy people holding bandz (m bison), Monday, 25 November 2013 02:45 (ten years ago) link

yes, james harden, ranked 5th in points per game last season and so far this season, cannot play halfcourt basketball.

call all destroyer, Monday, 25 November 2013 02:45 (ten years ago) link

What am I saying that contradicts that?
