he had a good line tonight but he still shoots just about every single time he touches the ball. he just takes a bunch of terrible shots.

he's a good regular season player for them though since he has talent and is playing hard but i don't think he'll see a single minute after the first round of the playoffs

am i the only one that think it's impressive that tyshawn taylor actually understood what kidd meant? like, if i was him and kidd had said "hit me" i would've stopped in my tracks like "....what?"

is this something that they practiced??

also i wonder if the vets on the team think this is kind of cunning or if they think it's depressingly desperate

half of me thinks we'll look back on this as a stupid controversy a la when lebron shoulder checked spoelstra in the first season of the big 3, but i guess that's predicated on the nets turning it around very soon

their next two games are @ houston, @ memphis

anyone think they can win either? if they go to 4-13 then they have denver at home. winnable game for sure but denver has really picked it up.

I still think the Knicks have a much higher chance of missing the playoffs than the Nets, but Kidd's antics make me wonder

yeah well the nets are at least missing their two best players

i think both are still essentially locks to make the playoffs

i'm not sure there are 8 teams in the east that are even trying to make the playoffs

let's break it down to an extent

15 teams in the east

2 teams are 100% locks

miami heat
indiana pacers

1 team is a 98% lock

chicago bulls

3 teams have zero chance and/or are openly tanking

milwaukee bucks
boston celtics
philadelphia 76ers

2 teams are probably in that group but might actually be kinda good

orlando magic
charlotte bobcats

so we're left with 7 teams for 5 spots (assuming heat, pacers, bulls)

atlanta hawks
toronto raptors
washington wizards
cleveland cavaliers
new york knicks
brooklyn nets
detroit pistons

who ya got?

out of that group i like

atl, wash, det, bk, nyk

i think the cavs are garbage and that masai will break apart the raptors

in the tank: obviously doomed: Cleveland, Milwaukee
scrappy overachievers that can't possibly last: Boston, Philly, maybe Charlotte ('Cats definitely trying to make the playoffs though)
weird but talented teams that are trying to be good and might manage it: Pistons, Raptors, Orlando
teams coached by Thibodeau: the Bulls
realistic playoff teams: Indiana, Miami, Atlanta, Washington

I think it's possible that 7 of the teams from those last three groups make it.

now that Oladipo is going beast mode I really think the Magic are in the mix.

I'm sure that Masai is trying to get rid of Gay but that might make the playoffs more possible

derozen has been killing it, I wouldn't totally sleep on the raps

the cavs seem desperate to shed waiters and get a SF, maybe masai can rope them into taking rudy
