Rudy Gay should ban all forms of writing and symbols from the locker room.

lag∞n, Monday, 9 December 2013 17:33 (ten years ago) link

why's he gotta hate on Landry Fields lol

Nhex, Monday, 9 December 2013 17:47 (ten years ago) link

I kind of hope that Rudy ends up the first significant player traded every year just for comedy value

That Cavs video reminds me that I'd really, really love to have Austin Carr and Quinn Buckner call a Cavs/Pacers game together. Both know / elucidate the game well + are giggly as fuck + sound like a cool mix of assistant coach & excited fan and get caught up urging players on.

It just sounds bad and doesn't roll off the tongue

No announcer's gonna use it

乒乓, Monday, 9 December 2013 19:24 (ten years ago) link

His nickname is "The Greek Freak".[5]

fit and working again, Monday, 9 December 2013 19:27 (ten years ago) link

yeah i guess something original like G-Ant is much better

k3vin k., Monday, 9 December 2013 19:28 (ten years ago) link

Quincy Pondexter (foot) out for season

moullet, Monday, 9 December 2013 19:29 (ten years ago) link

He doesn't need a nickname

I clicked on the citation and the only reference to to "The Greak Freek" was in the headline itself

Gonna edit the article to take that out

xp Man, can't believe that the 'Greak Freek' has caught on over my strenuous objections

Terrible day for basketball

lag∞n, Monday, 9 December 2013 20:55 (ten years ago) link

We need to talk about the youngest player in the NBA. The one they call the Greek Freak. The one who was sent here to save pro basketball in Wisconsin. Where did he come from?

hes already got the eurostep? the one legged dirk j?

lag∞n, Monday, 9 December 2013 21:11 (ten years ago) link

Jordan Crawford player of the week here in bizarro world

Clay, Monday, 9 December 2013 21:19 (ten years ago) link

I feel like the dirk J is technically not that hard, it's just that few players are tall enough to pull it off

But yeah impressive mastery for a guy who's.... 19 years old?!

乒乓, Monday, 9 December 2013 21:20 (ten years ago) link

clips official with capt jack signing

panettone for the painfully alone (mayor jingleberries), Monday, 9 December 2013 21:21 (ten years ago) link

19 years old and played on some third tier greek team last year

lag∞n, Monday, 9 December 2013 21:22 (ten years ago) link

Doctors say he has potentially 2 more inches to grow I think

Buildwise he reminds me of Jonathan Bender

But he's already much better at utilizing his length

乒乓, Monday, 9 December 2013 21:27 (ten years ago) link

hes already more muscular than bender or durant hes prob gonna be kinda huge in a lanky way

lag∞n, Monday, 9 December 2013 21:30 (ten years ago) link

His game kinda reminds me of Barbosa

乒乓, Monday, 9 December 2013 21:32 (ten years ago) link

If you call him anything other than Gianntula you're doing it wrong imo

polyphonic, Monday, 9 December 2013 21:35 (ten years ago) link

wow the competition to nickname this guy is really intense

lag∞n, Monday, 9 December 2013 21:36 (ten years ago) link

He doesn't need one

He's been in the league for 15 minutes

乒乓, Monday, 9 December 2013 21:37 (ten years ago) link

i mean *i* have a eurostep, pretty sure everyone who plays bball dabbles in eurosteps

some of the passes in that video though o_0

k3vin k., Monday, 9 December 2013 21:50 (ten years ago) link

a (nba game ready) eurostep, congrats tho

lag∞n, Monday, 9 December 2013 21:56 (ten years ago) link

Impressed that k3v has a nba-ready Eurostep

You try out for any teams yet man

乒乓, Monday, 9 December 2013 22:17 (ten years ago) link

oh you guys

k3vin k., Monday, 9 December 2013 22:18 (ten years ago) link

show me how to dirk kev

lag∞n, Monday, 9 December 2013 22:19 (ten years ago) link

i am going to work on my dirk though for real, i was just thinking about that. my usual go-to move on the left side is to spin and drive baseline

k3vin k., Monday, 9 December 2013 22:20 (ten years ago) link

Air balled a dirk attempt on Saturday! It's not easy cos in essence it's a fadeaway and fadeaways are v v hard. Eurostep scares me cos bad ankles.

Al He Miola (Spottie), Monday, 9 December 2013 22:30 (ten years ago) link

Yeah the dirk is a fadeaway for people who can't jump

乒乓, Monday, 9 December 2013 22:32 (ten years ago) link

if defenses have to respect the dirk that makes yr baseline move that much easier then the only question is where the double comes from if its the opposite corner you have an easy jump pass for the short three

lag∞n, Monday, 9 December 2013 22:32 (ten years ago) link

In other words................................................................... perfect for k3v

乒乓, Monday, 9 December 2013 22:33 (ten years ago) link

its only a matter of time before the scouting catches up to him tho

lag∞n, Monday, 9 December 2013 22:33 (ten years ago) link

Clay, Monday, 9 December 2013 22:37 (ten years ago) link

Al He Miola (Spottie), Monday, 9 December 2013 22:46 (ten years ago) link

The defender was aggressive but k3v k beat him off handily
