knicks reportedly looking to trade felton to the raptors for lowry. lets see what kind of magic masai can work

k3vin k., Thursday, 12 December 2013 18:54 (ten years ago) link

sorry on phone and it doesn't tell me about xposts

the earliest 1st rounder the knicks can even offer is 2018, and they don't even OWN a 2nd rounder till 2017, so this will be interesting

k3vin k., Thursday, 12 December 2013 18:56 (ten years ago) link

some tweet was saying they might have to include tim hardaway jr

call all destroyer, Thursday, 12 December 2013 19:00 (ten years ago) link

chris smith, 2017 second rounder, 2018 first rounder

k3vin k., Thursday, 12 December 2013 19:10 (ten years ago) link

awesome

Right now I'm reading The Grapes of Wrath. I never realized "Ghost of Tom Joad" by Bruce Springsteen was based on the main character, so I was pretty excited when I got to Chapter 2 and discovered that.

we all have MRSA living on our skin

I might miss the rest of the season because I have to burn all my skin off, lemme know how it turns out

Clay, Thursday, 12 December 2013 19:38 (ten years ago) link

MRSA can be some serious shit. A friend of mine who wrestled in high school got an infection from a wrestling mat that spread to his lungs and ultimately killed him.

masai is probably stonewalling and the knicks are gonna end up throwing in a 2018 first rounder, what a world

k3vin k., Thursday, 12 December 2013 21:01 (ten years ago) link

the knicks are not really gonna trade their 2018 first round pick are they

le goon (J0rdan S.), Thursday, 12 December 2013 21:10 (ten years ago) link

are they

le goon (J0rdan S.), Thursday, 12 December 2013 21:10 (ten years ago) link

they're not going to, right?

le goon (J0rdan S.), Thursday, 12 December 2013 21:10 (ten years ago) link

alternate: how attractive is a 2018 pick to masai? masai is good obviously but how many GMs stay somewhere for five years?

le goon (J0rdan S.), Thursday, 12 December 2013 21:11 (ten years ago) link

yeah but he might be thinking about having that pick as an asset for a trade in 2 years or something. still if a team could provide a more immediate return i'd have to think that would be preferable to him.

call all destroyer, Thursday, 12 December 2013 21:14 (ten years ago) link

yeah that's the thing, he's probably working on the morey model

You would think Brett Brown and Sam Hinkie could find a better way to tank than purposely exposing their breakout rookie star to a potentially deadly disease

Silver gonna consider dumping divisions :)

ftr i oversimplfied this a little, probably not EVERYONE has the resistant strains living on them (though i don't think we can say this for sure) but we do all have staph aureus on us and the percentage of people without regular healthcare contact (ie without risk factors) that are found to be colonized with MRSA is growing rapidly. but obv just having bacteria on your skin is no biggie usually, the body has 10x as many bacterial cells as human cells, it's game over already we lost, i for one welcome etc

Los Angeles LakersVerified
‏@Lakers
Injury Update. Steve Blake has a torn ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow. He is expected to be out a minimum of 6 weeks.

lakers have no available point guards on the roster atm

how soon we forget kobe, point-god

k3vin k., Thursday, 12 December 2013 21:35 (ten years ago) link

all-star returns have Kobe dominating in voting for guards of course, death to nba fans

Clay, Thursday, 12 December 2013 21:44 (ten years ago) link

it's ok it's just the western conference, it's not like there are other deserving guys who are gonna get shut out

could always do pick swaps

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 12 December 2013 22:18 (ten years ago) link

the stuff about the Knicks deft pcks completely boggles my mind anew every single time but I mean you could probably tell me they didn't own a pick until 2034 and I'd be skeptical but I wouldn't outright say it's totally unbelievable

Am I the only one who read the story about Kim Jong Un killing his uncle and thought about Jason Kidd and Larry Frank.

Chris Paul just crossed up d will and he came up hobbling haha

Al He Miola (Spottie), Friday, 13 December 2013 01:36 (ten years ago) link

I've watched a lot of Paul Pierce over the years and while I don't know that he's cooked...he's definitely starting to look a little parbaked

Which is especially weird because he was so good dragging that rondo-less celtics team around last year

lag∞n, Friday, 13 December 2013 03:04 (ten years ago) link

Aw man his ankles rip

Al He Miola (Spottie), Friday, 13 December 2013 03:07 (ten years ago) link

oh no jinx

lag∞n, Friday, 13 December 2013 03:07 (ten years ago) link

Still don't understand how he rebounds so poorly tho

Al He Miola (Spottie), Friday, 13 December 2013 03:08 (ten years ago) link

rebounding the key is to get to balls out if ur zone and he's just too slow

lag∞n, Friday, 13 December 2013 03:09 (ten years ago) link

How do we explain zbo then? Seems like hustle is one way to go about boarding but just good old fashioned throwing your weight around is just as effective?

Al He Miola (Spottie), Friday, 13 December 2013 03:12 (ten years ago) link

this is speculation but my guess is he just doesn't have a natural feel for rebounding to go along with his unathleticism. like some slow dudes can get into good positions but he is not one of those dudes.

call all destroyer, Friday, 13 December 2013 03:13 (ten years ago) link

AHAHA stern choking on his water better be made into a gif tonight

Al He Miola (Spottie), Friday, 13 December 2013 03:13 (ten years ago) link

Sounds about right xp

Al He Miola (Spottie), Friday, 13 December 2013 03:14 (ten years ago) link

xp yeah zbo is somewhere where i think he just knows where the ball is gonna be

call all destroyer, Friday, 13 December 2013 03:14 (ten years ago) link

zbo is more mobile than Lopez ime

lag∞n, Friday, 13 December 2013 03:14 (ten years ago) link

if zach had Lopez height he'd be the best player in the world

lag∞n, Friday, 13 December 2013 03:15 (ten years ago) link

i think there are potted plants that are more mobile than lopez, his set shot is outrageous

call all destroyer, Friday, 13 December 2013 03:15 (ten years ago) link

Set bank shot is wonderful

Al He Miola (Spottie), Friday, 13 December 2013 03:16 (ten years ago) link

hibbert and Lopez both protect the rim real good and rebound poorly and are slow as hell

lag∞n, Friday, 13 December 2013 03:17 (ten years ago) link

This is a big game for the nets psyche imo
