Yeah, he spent about 20 years (off and on) in prison and during one of his stints he killed a fellow inmate. He may qualify here!

he also murdered his mother, which is a pretty important detail to leave out. I mean, yes, I'm all for recognizing the role his illness played in that as opposed to casting stones, but it isn't as if he was only known for being schizophrenic and nothing else.
