Ricky Rubio is so cute, people automatically want to like his game. He's rather like Rudy Fernandez, but even more so. Even his name is super cute.

Looking like a cross between Bieber, a chibi doll and a dry gremlin probably helps but, these aren't exactly teenage girls were talking about. Are hard nosed (loosely speaking) basketball guys really foregoing thorough analysis for that shit? I mean word was, dudes camp were still talking about a max contract.

The critical issue here is player development. Unlike other young point guards like Damian Lillard or Steph Curry, Rubio is not getting better. At a critical stage, when you’re supposed to blossom, Rubio’s growth has stunted. That's on the organization as much as it's on the player.
