gonna hurt their playoff seeding regardless, though, west is too tight.

yeah that's the thing. they ain't falling out of the playoffs, but they're not gonna be happy about falling out of the top 6 and having to play SA or OKC

they're currently one game ahead of houston or homecourt in the first round, and three games up on dallas for the eight seed, that's even tighter than i thought dang.

he played pretty good his rookie season before paul showed up

also amare was a god before injuries caught up w him

yeah he could handle his own

once he got that midrange game it was over

even before, i never quite saw anything like it, like he didnt really have moves even hed just get the ball and dunk on anyone from anywhere it made no sense, he dropped 40+ on prime duncan in a playoff game, there was nothing you could really do with him

Early amare was incredible I watched this silly hourlong doc on him on like starz or epicz or whatever this summer and it's incredible he could do anything, he was basically never coached by anyone maybe Marc iavaroni showed him one or two things but that was still in dantoni ball, so the whole thing was get the ball to Nash or shoot shoot shoot

yeah! melo is actually playing pretty well and i sort of feel bad for him
that he gets as much of the blame as he does

and if i'm the clips i would seriously consider that trade, not sure how the money works out tho

his rebound rate is up moderately but he's getting more minutes than ever and the clips are playing faster this year is most of the reason

melo is not that good also he's opting out this year so you're trading for 70% of a season and the right to offer him $120 million or whatever

just in terms of personnel the clips get much better immediately after that trade

i doubt the clippers would even be better this year with the melo/chandler combo unless they also flipped deandre and totally flipped the team

and even at that chandler is such a high injury risk and if he gets hurt again then you've traded your no doubt franchise player for not even a full season of carmelo anthony and a great one-way player who can't even stay on the floor

you can't play chandler and deandre at the same time... that's basically the same player

they get much better this year but theyre getting two guys moderately on the wrong side of 30 classic trap

you cant play deadre and chandler together but chandler is much much better

and as little of a fan of deandre as i am i still wouldn't do deandre-blake for carmelo-chandler even if the world was guaranteed to end in august of 2014

it's definitely risky, but it also seems clear now that this clipper team is not getting to the finals

but they have young players who are still improving and they can continue to build their team, they do that trade and its win now or bust

jordan is right though that fit would become an issue, unless the clips play melo at the 4, his natural position and one he's thrived at next to chandler

well he is right that deandre is overqualified to be a back up
