i don't think this deal becomes truly horrible until the cavs spend $60 million signing deng. none of the picks they traded seem particularly valuable.

if they can manage to sign him at a reasonable price, like 4/45, it might actually be fine. but that seems unlikely, and trading away picks, no matter how not-great the picks are, is usually a bad idea

they could probably use another shooter for max lineup flexibility and for nights when battier doesn't have his shot

Mirotic is the best player on the best team in Europe, earning comparable NBA money. He'll move for the right price, but that isn't it.

Deng is averaging 19.0 points, 6.9 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game this year. Clark and Gee were averaging 9.6 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.0 assist combined.
