If wishes were horses, would we all be buried under horse shit?

Aimless, Thursday, 9 January 2014 02:46 (ten years ago) link

Last years lakers woulda been kinda nice too

Spottie, Thursday, 9 January 2014 02:47 (ten years ago) link

It looks like Pero Antic is a legit NBA player

he's really pretty terrible on defense unfortunately

Heez, Thursday, 9 January 2014 02:47 (ten years ago) link

but yeah, legit

Heez, Thursday, 9 January 2014 02:48 (ten years ago) link

lol that foul call on curry

Spottie, Thursday, 9 January 2014 02:51 (ten years ago) link

Man in Pekovic gave a few less fucks he'd get near Shaq levels of leeway from the refs.

tsrobodo, Thursday, 9 January 2014 02:54 (ten years ago) link

curry out of control

moullet, Thursday, 9 January 2014 02:57 (ten years ago) link

Amin Elhassan ‏@AminESPN -- If everyone on every roster were in their prime, would the Nets be the best team in the NBA?

Clay, Thursday, 9 January 2014 03:02 (ten years ago) link

payroll would be like $450 milli

Spottie, Thursday, 9 January 2014 03:03 (ten years ago) link

CURRYYRRYRYR

Spottie, Thursday, 9 January 2014 03:04 (ten years ago) link

Spottie, Thursday, 9 January 2014 03:04 (ten years ago) link

chase !!!!!

moullet, Thursday, 9 January 2014 03:05 (ten years ago) link

dude on espn pontificating about how you need to be 11 deep to win in the nba i guess hasn't been paying attention much to the league ever

Clay, Thursday, 9 January 2014 03:07 (ten years ago) link

15 deep imho

lag∞n, Thursday, 9 January 2014 03:07 (ten years ago) link

i'm sure we've all asked these hypothetical questions to ourselves. "if everyone on every roster were on their deathbed, would the nets be the best team in the nba?"

Daniel, Esq 2, Thursday, 9 January 2014 03:08 (ten years ago) link

top 8 must be solid xpost

moullet, Thursday, 9 January 2014 03:08 (ten years ago) link

yeah 8 solid guys is usually good, trying to think of a recent team top team that was legitimately 11 deep it just never happens

Clay, Thursday, 9 January 2014 03:10 (ten years ago) link

well they all have literally at least 11 players

lag∞n, Thursday, 9 January 2014 03:11 (ten years ago) link

breaking: brooklyn is in playoff position

lag∞n, Thursday, 9 January 2014 03:12 (ten years ago) link

4-0 in 14.

Daniel, Esq 2, Thursday, 9 January 2014 03:13 (ten years ago) link

why isn't detroit better, i thought they might be alright this year

Clay, Thursday, 9 January 2014 03:18 (ten years ago) link

i was a skeptic but they are def worse than i expected

lag∞n, Thursday, 9 January 2014 03:19 (ten years ago) link

i guess brandon jennings + josh smith ain't really winning basketball tho

Clay, Thursday, 9 January 2014 03:19 (ten years ago) link

jeannings really suck and monroe/josh is a cruel overlap
cant watch them anymore

moullet, Thursday, 9 January 2014 03:20 (ten years ago) link

they sould trade monroe + whatever for gordon hayward, doubt utah would do tho

moullet, Thursday, 9 January 2014 03:21 (ten years ago) link

Yeah seems like they should still improve a little but we've kind of made mention that Josh Smith is basically the worst fit and brandon jennings kinda just sucks. j Smoov needs to never shoot outside of 5 feet but he has no business being in the paint on this team when monroe and drummond are in there.

Spottie, Thursday, 9 January 2014 03:22 (ten years ago) link

did they really give smoove $14mil a year dang

Clay, Thursday, 9 January 2014 03:22 (ten years ago) link

every atlanta fan mustve been loling so hard aver that contract

lag∞n, Thursday, 9 January 2014 03:23 (ten years ago) link

Lakers announcers now huge fans of the hackahoward strategy

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 9 January 2014 03:23 (ten years ago) link

was joe dumars just like "well we've got to sign somebody we have all this money, it'd be embarrassing not to spend it"

Clay, Thursday, 9 January 2014 03:24 (ten years ago) link

like maybe think twice about giving a big contract to a guy whos entire fan base yells nooo every time hes about to do a thing he does all the time

lag∞n, Thursday, 9 January 2014 03:24 (ten years ago) link

he's been known to do that before!

Charlie V and Ben Gordon

Spottie, Thursday, 9 January 2014 03:24 (ten years ago) link

hah i forgot about that charlie v signing, it's weird how everyone though joe d was a couple years there

Clay, Thursday, 9 January 2014 03:26 (ten years ago) link

was a genius*

Clay, Thursday, 9 January 2014 03:26 (ten years ago) link

That's exactly it, and if they find a sucker for for a trade partner some day it might be worth it

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 9 January 2014 03:28 (ten years ago) link

good to see him back

Spottie, Thursday, 9 January 2014 03:30 (ten years ago) link

sort of hate barbosa

one of the worst foul calls of all time on a point blank missed layup by one of the morris twins there

k3vin k., Thursday, 9 January 2014 03:32 (ten years ago) link

tonight's Plumlee-Pekovic matchup is sponsored by GNC

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 9 January 2014 03:33 (ten years ago) link

eastern conference features epic first round battle between no. 1 pacers and no. 8 nets. lock the brackets now.

Daniel, Esq 2, Thursday, 9 January 2014 03:36 (ten years ago) link

Pekovic really is a solid, decent defender. Big gap between him and Love there.

yo i know right

lag∞n, Thursday, 9 January 2014 03:37 (ten years ago) link

sort of hate barbosa

why? I mean he's not very good any more at all but he was a blast in the mid 00s with those suns teams.

Spottie, Thursday, 9 January 2014 03:37 (ten years ago) link

the thing I always remember with Barbosa is that when he came out in the draft he wasn't really on anyone's radar but there was this talk of a "Barbosa tape" of his Brazilian games that was blowing everyone away

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 9 January 2014 03:39 (ten years ago) link

wow dont think the nba was ready for that type of thing back then but now people are more open minded so itd prob be ok
