Oh yeah, Ned, if you like a copy of TheIdealCrash send me yer address!
I forgot to say: CLASSIC all the way. Although Barman's obsession with Will Oldham is quite DUD! He's currently collaborating with some dance musician. He's also trying to get money for his movie. The drummer and bassplayer are in Vive La Fete. The keyboard-player, who used to be in the Evil Superstars, formed a new band, Millionaire and just released a fantastic record. The violin player bought a big ole house and rents out flats if I am not mistaken.

I only had In A Bar, Under the Sea...but it was lovely and twisted. Sad to hear they're quitting.

Bit overrated around these parts, but they are alright. My favorite is actually that video where they walk around the street in formation, with a bunch of cool people, doing nice synchronized moves.

Their final album proper 'The Ideal Crash' is not to be missed. For me it's one of those 'stuck on an island with only 10 records' type of albums.

I heard the track on maomagazine and it's beautiful. I'll miss them. Bad.

ten years pass...

It occurred to me about five minutes after doing an interview with a Belgian radio station in which i probably mentioned dEUS ten times that i have no idea how you are meant to pronounce "dEUS". I assumed it was like "deus ex machina" but i don't think i've actually heard their name said out loud at any point.

Instant Street is legit one of the best indie-rock songs I think I've ever heard. I'm led to understand that liking it is a bit like liking Radiohead for Paranoid Android, though - so please feel free to link other songs that live up to its splendour :)

Everything else on the Ideal Crash measures up to that standard, albeit in less flashy fashion. Try out the title track or "Let's See Who Goes Down First".
