Saw them at FYF last year and was encouraged to see them again in Eagle Rock a couple months later. I like them - pushes the same sort of lizard-brain that Purling Hiss and Bass Drum Of Death too, only I like the Orwells' songs far more.
Strokes comparison too annoying. "They're like Cheap Trick if Cheap Trick got hit in the head with rocks" far more accurate. Maybe it's a Rockford, IL thing...

I encountered this band when I worked at Roadrunner (a division of Atlantic). They seemed like human garbage and I was very glad RR passed on them, especially after their moronic Letterman appearance. Though of course the parent company did sign them.
