just because a handful of people dislike someone doesn't mean they're not generally not disliked (which is different from being liked, btw)

Sounds like a typical Mail hatchet job. I dislike some of his recent movie adaptations and plays (obv apart from Prick Up Your Ears) but always find Bennett quite consistently spot on as a person.

Me and Tricia went to see Elf. Man, that sucked. I can’t believe the imdb community gave that movie a 7.5. I usually trust imdb ratings too. I hate Bob Newhart and he was in this movie a lot. He’s the most boring “comedian” ever. Maybe his stuff was funny in the 60′s but it’s not funny today. Not being able to speak complete sentences just isn’t funny to me. I guess I just don’t get it. But even if Bob wasn’t in this movie, it still would have sucked. Most of the scenes with Will Ferrell doing silly things were hilarious but they didn’t make up for the overall suckiness of the rest of the movie.
