Jeez, it didn't even occur to me to vote for It's Alive. That would've been my #1, too, which would've pushed it ahead of Road to Ruin, I think.

The above two covers almost look like they're from the exact same photo shoot, but the jeans on Rocket to Russia are in a more advanced state of rippage (self-consciously so, I suppose skeptics would say).

I did. Can't remember who recommended it to me. Is it in Greil Marcus's Treasure Island or was it just always on sale at Bleecker Bob's, Golden Disc, Second Coming etc.

XP IIRC, there are no entries for the Ramones (or much American Punk at all) in Treasure Island. In fact, Marcus claimed Hackamore Brick beat them at their own game.

often thought of buying this sdtk just for this one song which iirc is not available anywhere else (there's a demo version incl as a bonus track on one of the other album reissues, but it doesn't have the acoustic guitar)
