I wouldn't be skeptical of Thurston's curatorial choices — I think he's more than capable of putting together a fantastic Big Ears lineup — but I think using him as an anchor would be a little... off-message I guess? Also I'm still mad at him and his recent music has been boring.

I think I want to go to this, because it sounds fun and I really want to have a drink in the Sunsphere.

the bar in the sunsphere is really yow

what does that mean? the bar in the tower of the americas in san antonio is pretty great, and the space needle was a great spot for a beer as well

The normal rules do not apply to World's Fair structures. They have an inherent and timeless cool factor. If they stuck a Chili's in the Tower of the Americas I would eat there.

I also love that the "Icon Ultra Lounge" has a Kid's Menu

naw its like 1000 times less cool than a chili's because it's a very "cool" place

perhaps if I go on a Tuesday at 4pm

i will join you for that drink, f. hazel. we can laugh at the uncool coolness.

i can also take yall places where there are bartenders who will serve you an actual drink (not a melted cotton candy) for less than $8

one pop rocks-tini at the sunsphere and then to a real bar

ok, ok. there's also an observation deck you can go out on and avoid the bar entirely
