Bee OK, Saturday, 6 September 2014 21:20 (nine years ago) link

happens to be a really great game, go Ducks.

Bee OK, Sunday, 7 September 2014 00:55 (nine years ago) link

Not on the national radar screen but I went to the Georgia state New Mexico State game today and it ruled. NMS came back from 17 point deficit and won with a touchdown with 15'seconds left.

^that's the best way to enjoy college football.

For what was supposed to be a crappy slate of games this turned out to be a great day. Thanks BC

Jameis Winston now suspended for the entire Clemson game instead of just the first half. I'm sure the dude's suspension is well-deserved for some other shit he did somewhere, but standing on a table and yelling out a tired internet meme at a college is common as fuck.

Johnny Fever, Saturday, 20 September 2014 03:55 (nine years ago) link

east carolina vs unc, which was #25 in the usa today poll:

446 yards passing, 343 yards rushing, 70 points lol

seriously, THIS GUY (daria-g), Sunday, 21 September 2014 02:22 (nine years ago) link

Clemson pulled a Clemson in the end. No one should be surprised.

LSU got flat whooped, though.

Johnny Fever, Sunday, 21 September 2014 04:02 (nine years ago) link

surprised that this Ducks game is this close,

Bee OK, Sunday, 21 September 2014 05:01 (nine years ago) link

Pac-12 is getting pretty comparable to SEC in terms of overall strength, but the style of football has more variety so its hard to compare.

Aimless, Sunday, 21 September 2014 16:55 (nine years ago) link

w/respect, he was accused of rape and there was a second incident where a woman sought counseling after a sexual encounter w/him, plus he's basically the national face of the school. PLUS there was all that other shit in the NFL recently. so i get why they did it and can't disagree at all really.

johnny crunch, Saturday, 27 September 2014 20:24 (nine years ago) link

wd be happy with nc state win, but it's still a long shot w/ only 24-21 nc lead at half

He did a damn good job on the u dub Stanford game. Which was a great game but not high scoring

Prince Kajuku (Bill Magill), Sunday, 28 September 2014 00:11 (nine years ago) link

so even though i'm a huge baseball fan the Giants are not on tonight. so will be flipping back and forth between the ALDS and the Oregon Duck game tonight.

wow brutal fumble

johnny crunch, Saturday, 4 October 2014 21:11 (nine years ago) link

You guys, I just died.

Johnny Fever, Saturday, 4 October 2014 23:29 (nine years ago) link

Even worse, I have to cheer Auburn on now to preserve some semblance of football integrity in my home state.

Johnny Fever, Saturday, 4 October 2014 23:30 (nine years ago) link

I wouldn't mind the eventual SEC champions having a 3 loss season. Preferably, with their third and final loss coming in the first playoff-series game.

Johnny Fever, Sunday, 5 October 2014 06:23 (nine years ago) link

So good

GhostTunes on my Pono (Sufjan Grafton), Sunday, 5 October 2014 14:42 (nine years ago) link

It's weird to think that my favorite day of college ball in years includes a Bama loss, but yesterday was amazing in just about every way.

Johnny Fever, Sunday, 5 October 2014 14:50 (nine years ago) link

yes there were so many good finishes. Sorry about bama. I was watching with my friend from Huntsville, and I kinda hate ole miss

GhostTunes on my Pono (Sufjan Grafton), Sunday, 5 October 2014 14:59 (nine years ago) link

And so the big dawg of the SEC West also loses. The thought of so many distraught, unhappy, angry, upset SEC fans does not bother me in the slightest.

dumpster® fire (Aimless), Friday, 2 January 2015 05:47 (nine years ago) link

Not sure if anyone can stop the Oregon offense.

schwantz, Friday, 2 January 2015 05:51 (nine years ago) link

what a game that was and it was a lot of fun esp with Alabama losing.

Go Ducks!

Bee OK, Friday, 2 January 2015 05:56 (nine years ago) link

Alabama losing a close one is indeed a heartbreaker for me. Still, watching Florida State get absolutely pantsed in the Rose Bowl will give me enough good cheer to last until September.

Johnny Fever, Friday, 2 January 2015 05:59 (nine years ago) link

dang, i thought OSU was going to get embarrassed in that game. instead, lots of kiffin forcing the ball to the #1 receiver and getting killed over it. i was rooting for bama but felt like i was watching last year's usc vs ucla game.

eh mec, elle est ou ma caisse? (ytth), Friday, 2 January 2015 06:25 (nine years ago) link

There was some damn atrocious playcalling by Ohio State in that game. Passing on first down in a run-out-the-clock situation? And it was a really REALLY bad pass.

Mr. Snrub, Friday, 2 January 2015 06:38 (nine years ago) link

I cannot see Ohio St. beating Oregon. That club put a precision beat down on Florida St. Alabama's defense got ran out of the building. The championship game should be very techmo bowl either way.

earlnash, Friday, 2 January 2015 09:18 (nine years ago) link

xp yeah I mean meyer wanted to definitively _end_ it w/ that bomb in a sitch where as you rightly say, it's like a 95% run or short pass and the dfense knows that too

johnny crunch, Friday, 2 January 2015 13:09 (nine years ago) link

osu could def beat oregon

johnny crunch, Friday, 2 January 2015 13:10 (nine years ago) link

Yes, OSU could beat Oregon. But they won't if the ducks don't have a rash of injuries to key players. Oregon team as it stands today would beat OSU 4 out of 5 games.

dumpster® fire (Aimless), Friday, 2 January 2015 17:50 (nine years ago) link

seeing as boise st was able to beat arizona, I wonder how many oregon could steal from boise st in a series of 5.

$80 is absurd and very ridiculous! (Sufjan Grafton), Friday, 2 January 2015 18:51 (nine years ago) link

I would welcome boise state to an expanded playoff, where they could prove their prowess against the field. Except the field would include the Pac-12 champions and that wasn't Arizona.

dumpster® fire (Aimless), Friday, 2 January 2015 18:56 (nine years ago) link

lucky for Oregon ;-)

$80 is absurd and very ridiculous! (Sufjan Grafton), Friday, 2 January 2015 18:59 (nine years ago) link

I'm just giving you a hard time. Obviously, Oregon proved to be a better team in the last meeting. I want Oregon to beat OSU as well. I'm just not so confident that any of these top teams could beat anther 80% of the time!

$80 is absurd and very ridiculous! (Sufjan Grafton), Friday, 2 January 2015 19:01 (nine years ago) link

must admit i did lol @ tammy from finnebaum show

YOURE NOT EVEN GOOD, OTHER CONFERENCES

johnny crunch, Friday, 2 January 2015 23:35 (nine years ago) link

Tennessee looks really good. Probably too far north for finebaum listeners to care about.

Prince Kajuku (Bill Magill), Friday, 2 January 2015 23:41 (nine years ago) link

tenn was really jekyll/hyde this season iirc

only really outlandish result to me was tcu so destroying ole miss. i think overall big 10 was prob underrated a bit, sec overrated a lil sure. does osu def win this game w/ braxton miller or barrett? kindof hit a fortuitous jackpot w/ cardale. overall i think theres a p deep talent pool across ncaa ftball rt now

johnny crunch, Friday, 2 January 2015 23:53 (nine years ago) link

because we will never know for sure, I can confidently state that with braxton miller or barrett at qb the ducks would roast the buckeyes over slow coals like a shish kebab and devour them - or maybe not. it depends.

dumpster® fire (Aimless), Saturday, 3 January 2015 01:35 (nine years ago) link

that's more like it, Aimless. lol.

looking forward to jameis winston's tebow-like nfl faceplant.

obv

Aimless, Thursday, 15 January 2015 18:01 (nine years ago) link

when will the ncaa get with it and realize that we don't want a single championship game. we want a best of 10 games between the top two teams! and then we want snacks before jimmy's mom picks him up!

$80 is absurd and very ridiculous! (Sufjan Grafton), Thursday, 15 January 2015 18:09 (nine years ago) link

i think the national championship should be awarded to which team best covers up the football program's sex crimes.
