(and in terms of big(ish) pop artists, this is one of the few total triumphs of the year so far *stares at ariana in disappointment*)

ta for the nudge lex.
guess it's time to hit the buy now option on amazon ..
don't think i have even seen the new album in the racks.
if there are more tracks in the same league as 'sirens' then i will be a happily depressed man.

has the second album done anything US side

Not really. The album briefly hit the top 20 then was gone. She's mostly known for that Demi Lovato number (Demi's best song imo) which went big, but Cher didn't really bring much to that.

ok, i've checked.
not even zoverstocks are selling the new album off cheap.
thats how low profile it was in the uk.

mark e, Thursday, 11 September 2014 20:27 (nine years ago) link

in fact, its listed as an import !?
has the second album even been released in the UK ?

Really real deal love this album. Killin It is huge, surely it will be a single right??

It reached number 21 in the UK but dropped out of the top 100 after one week. Sirens missed the top 40 by one place. Doubt there will be anymore singles from the album anywhere now. Really she needs to put out Bind Your Love and go on X Factor to perform it but that's not very likely. They've not tried to push her in the UK since the first album came out for some reason. Agree with Lex that this has grown to be one of my favourite albums of the year.

Top 3 of the year for me! I can't express how much I love Human.

two months pass...

just re-listening in prep for eoy lists and the whole build up to finally finishing with 'alone with me' is so so good :)

this album has such a low profile in the uk, not even zoverstocks have it available.

X Factor final weekend inspired me to finally listen to this album and it's really good! Far better than its low profile would make it seem.

one year passes...

I can't express how much I love Human.

this album is full of wonderful songs, but this one hits hard and brings on the chills up the spine.
best pop album i have heard in a long time.

vevo is struggling for me today - must be the new YELLO video thats killing their servers - still, i have very high hopes for this album.

i still love both albums far more than i should.

Disappointing new single. The chorus isn't bad but the verses sound so clumsy. I had high hopes after how brilliant Sorry I'm Late was.

Kitchen Person, Friday, 22 July 2016 13:29 (seven years ago) link

The chorus is all kinds of wonderful though! I'm loving this a lot.
