He did a damn good job on the u dub Stanford game. Which was a great game but not high scoring

Johnny Fever, Saturday, 4 October 2014 23:29 (nine years ago) link

Even worse, I have to cheer Auburn on now to preserve some semblance of football integrity in my home state.

Johnny Fever, Saturday, 4 October 2014 23:30 (nine years ago) link

I wouldn't mind the eventual SEC champions having a 3 loss season. Preferably, with their third and final loss coming in the first playoff-series game.

GhostTunes on my Pono (Sufjan Grafton), Sunday, 5 October 2014 14:42 (nine years ago) link

It's weird to think that my favorite day of college ball in years includes a Bama loss, but yesterday was amazing in just about every way.

Johnny Fever, Sunday, 5 October 2014 14:50 (nine years ago) link

yes there were so many good finishes. Sorry about bama. I was watching with my friend from Huntsville, and I kinda hate ole miss

GhostTunes on my Pono (Sufjan Grafton), Sunday, 5 October 2014 14:59 (nine years ago) link

While growing up I lived for decades with mediocre-to-awful teams. I considered any Pac-8 season record above .500 to be a triumph. Consequently, I reflexively root for the underdog, with few exceptions and I feel happiest when the traditional powerhouse programs, like Alabama, USC or Oklahoma, get the rug pulled out from under them.

Aimless, Sunday, 5 October 2014 19:03 (nine years ago) link

Mentally add Ohio State to that list of most-hated teams, plz.

Aimless, Sunday, 5 October 2014 19:12 (nine years ago) link

Oh shit

ATHENS ----- University of Georgia tailback Todd Gurley has been indefinitely suspended from competition by the UGA Athletic Association during an ongoing investigation into an alleged violation of NCAA rules.

"I'm obviously very disappointed," said UGA head football coach Mark Richt. "The important thing for our team is to turn all our attention toward preparation for Missouri."

GhostTunes on my Pono (Sufjan Grafton), Thursday, 9 October 2014 21:53 (nine years ago) link

Yeah, who knows. I remember when AJ Green got suspended for 4 games his last season there for selling a game jersey.

Johnny Fever, Thursday, 9 October 2014 21:57 (nine years ago) link

The only thing I hate worse than being forced to root for Notre Dame is when Notre Dame loses anyway.

Johnny Fever, Sunday, 19 October 2014 04:01 (nine years ago) link

^ wisdom

Aimless, Sunday, 19 October 2014 04:39 (nine years ago) link

Having more angles to view that last PI call, I'm even more convinced that we got a bad call there.

I can't make my waterface turn into a *fart* (Sufjan Grafton), Sunday, 19 October 2014 15:09 (nine years ago) link

and the coach is named 'Jimbo' every time I check

I can't make my waterface turn into a *fart* (Sufjan Grafton), Sunday, 19 October 2014 15:10 (nine years ago) link

i thought it was legit, couldve been holding rather than pi -- tho i like if refs are actually gonna flag pick plays (saw 1 called in nfl last wk, first i recall in ages)

johnny crunch, Sunday, 19 October 2014 15:35 (nine years ago) link

Refs can always call something. They typically try to avoid determining the game winner for us, though.

I can't make my waterface turn into a *fart* (Sufjan Grafton), Sunday, 19 October 2014 15:48 (nine years ago) link

we should have just ran it in

I can't make my waterface turn into a *fart* (Sufjan Grafton), Sunday, 19 October 2014 15:54 (nine years ago) link

Yeah, that run Golson made that got them up to the 6 (or wherever it was) could've probably gone all the way to the endzone, but he hit the dirt when he saw a defender.

Johnny Fever, Sunday, 19 October 2014 15:59 (nine years ago) link

true. Gah, this one hurts!

I can't make my waterface turn into a *fart* (Sufjan Grafton), Sunday, 19 October 2014 16:03 (nine years ago) link

I can't make my waterface turn into a *fart* (Sufjan Grafton), Sunday, 19 October 2014 17:13 (nine years ago) link

would prob have to dig p deep to find a team win by nearly 30pts w/ 20 yds passing

johnny crunch, Sunday, 19 October 2014 18:53 (nine years ago) link

crazy. I guess an FSU player took his helmet off on the field as well and the refs missed it.
