Yeah, not really, it's only funny b/c he's friends with practically every other Chicago ILXor.

She WAS on gmail earlier today. I think maybe she thinks we suck.

Uh guys the reason I haven't been around is really silly. The reason is I got addicted to knitting. You can't type while doing that. OTOH hundreds of rows of garter stitch on the Doctor Who scarf right now – I miss you guys.

Abbott, dude, you gotta practice harder! I read 'n' knit simultaneously. I knitted this hat while reading Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde:

Hey, knitting is the new clubbing, after all (if Shimura Curves are to be believed)
― Bubble Withdrawal (Masonic Boom), Tuesday, 17 March 2009 08:25 (fifteen years ago) link
(Also, that is an awesome hat. Do you want to make me one? Well, when I get a job, and I can pay you for it!)
― Bubble Withdrawal (Masonic Boom), Tuesday, 17 March 2009 08:26 (fifteen years ago) link
Pay? No need. Very easy to make. If you like I can just knit you one. If you like this yarn, I think I can make one in a week or two. Let me me know (email me). :-)
― the tip of the tongue taking a trip tralalala (stevienixed), Tuesday, 17 March 2009 08:30 (fifteen years ago) link
I think it only costs me about 4 euro or even less to make it, so why bother asking money? I'm happy that people love wearing my knitted things. My friend, who's VERY critical, is so attached to the hat I made for her. And Ophelia was shouting compliments all the way to school while wearing this hat. hah

Aaahhh, you are so awesome. Sending email now!

do include size of head. is it "normal" sized or big like mine? i'll probably start tonight. :-)
― the tip of the tongue taking a trip tralalala (stevienixed), Tuesday, 17 March 2009 09:14 (fifteen years ago) link
How do I measure the size of my head? I have a tape measure somewhere.
I want a big, floppy hat, so big is probably better. :-D
― Bubble Withdrawal (Masonic Boom), Tuesday, 17 March 2009 09:18 (fifteen years ago) link
Y'know, I'll just knit you one and if you don't like it, you can return it. Keep in mind that it looks floppy in that pic, but it just sits tightly on her head. It's a "basic hat". :-)You like this yarn? Anyway if you don't like it, just, well, return or toss it away. :-)

i guess gr8080 left purposely and for a reason, since he had a 'goodbye' thread and everything, but i don't know why that is and it's a shame, missing him on the boards.

Haha Stevie I can read/go to lecture/watch TV and knit – typing replies while knitting is the art I have yet to master. (Can you do the 'one color in each hand' Fairisle thing?)

I could - I learned it in class - but I don't give a shit about Fair Isle really. Nor Intarsia. I already have a hard time with cables 'n' shit. :-) I also quit my class. Fuck'em.
