A couple old things I love just made it to Spotify this week: Game Theory's Dead Center and the self-titled album by Rick Springfield's 1997 "band" project Sahara Snow. Oh, and Beyoncé.

New stuff I flagged includes a Tove Styrke EP, a new Kate Boy song; wintry Skálmöld and Primordial albums; a rousing Xilent single, a new album by the j-metal band AREA51 and a new song by Lacroix Despheres; a punk record by We Will Fly; gothic metal by Sin7sins, Divine Ascension and Ideogram; four new songs by indefatigable electroist June 1974 and a lot of odd noises by the A.M. Experiment; and a new album by one of my favorite Slovenian singers, Alya.

And you might be thinking "yeah, whatever, I don't have a favorite Slovenian singer". But I didn't, either, until I discovered Alya, who did one of my favorite songs of any kind ever, which is this soaring pop-rock thing:
