It's different to make fun of rich people because of the way they act than to ridicule (suppossedly poor) people for their appearance (which isn't exactly the case here, but still).

Also, it's always different to ridicule those in power than those that have little power.

dan considering i am at work (gasp - poverty wage!) i am definitely NOT thinking about what im writing but my point is the same as always is when ppl trot out the 'how come you can joke about rich/white/male/christian/etc ppl but not poor/black/female/muslim/etc ppl' (last seen on the cynthia mckinney thread - 'would you still be calling racism if she was white and the cop was black?'!!??!) omg difft circumstances for difft sitations!!! especially when its those in a position of elite moneyed status mocking those who arent!!
