bread is a motherlode of middle-aged weight, along with cheese, so i do toast rarely given the 3-4 pizza slices i must have weekly (plus brown-bag sandwiches).

i tried making crispy tofu last week but it didn't turn out that great

i like cucumbers in the context of spicy dishes, where they take the edge off

i like cucumber with feta and with hummus

also i make a summer salad with cukes, watermelon, blueberries, & mint

not a fan of cukes in garden salads tho, and i prefer most other pickled vegetables over cuke pickles

bananas are a staple of my diet tho, i love me some starchy phallic fruits
