I know, I know. But I've been looking for chiptune records and real releases tend to be from 80s Japanese pressings and go for $$$$$$.

wouldn't it make more sense to get chiptune stuff on CD, though

the stuff that GMO Records put out in the 80s are really desirable imo but too expensive these days.
it's crazy the amount of video game soundtracks that are getting vinyl releases these days though, supposedly Hot Topic are putting out a Megaman picture disc LP ffs

I don't do CDs. At least if I spend 50 dollars on a vinyl I know I can still probably listen to it when I'm 80.

The most notorious Anita [Baker] story I can remember was in the LA Times about 17 years ago. She admitted to spending 3 YEARS playing Nintendo(!!!) instead of recording her next album, landing her in huge hot water with her label. So yeah none of this seems like a hotbed of mental health.
