Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Thursday, 5 February 2004 17:27 (twenty years ago) link

I'm getting "GOTHICK FOR LIFE, BITCH" tatooed on my ankle.

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Thursday, 5 February 2004 18:00 (twenty years ago) link

forehead all the way¡

dyson (dyson), Thursday, 5 February 2004 18:07 (twenty years ago) link

4, not for.

i bought a goth fanzine at a gig last night, it's rub, but it has a little furry bit on the front, which is nice...

CarsmileSteve (CarsmileSteve), Friday, 6 February 2004 11:09 (twenty years ago) link

Yes, the 4 makes the sentence -- I can't believed I overlooked it.

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Friday, 6 February 2004 13:29 (twenty years ago) link

EFIL 4 KCIHTOG!

Baaderist (Fabfunk), Friday, 6 February 2004 13:31 (twenty years ago) link

Ned Raggett (Ned), Friday, 6 February 2004 14:43 (twenty years ago) link

This is the first time I've bookmarked a link from ilx. Golden.

Enrique (Enrique), Friday, 6 February 2004 14:44 (twenty years ago) link

AWESOME.

geeta (geeta), Friday, 6 February 2004 14:55 (twenty years ago) link

Everything's here is so cliché!

poisonivy, Friday, 6 February 2004 15:47 (twenty years ago) link

I WONDER WHY THAT WOULD BE.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Friday, 6 February 2004 15:51 (twenty years ago) link

Everything's here is so cliché!

This is possibly the most baffling post I've ever read on ILX.

Matt (Matt), Friday, 6 February 2004 16:32 (twenty years ago) link

i just read the title and thought it said "GO THICK 4 LIFE, BITCH" and thought it was some sort of penile enlargement spam

JaXoN (JasonD), Friday, 6 February 2004 17:26 (twenty years ago) link

I think the most impressive thing is that it's actually as funny as the Actual For Serious Chick Tracts

ferg (Ferg), Friday, 6 February 2004 19:52 (twenty years ago) link

I agree, the originals are nearly parody-proof

(Jon L), Friday, 6 February 2004 22:27 (twenty years ago) link

wow!

Curt1s St3ph3ns, Friday, 6 February 2004 22:54 (twenty years ago) link

"Camp Basil Bub"

martin m. (mushrush), Friday, 6 February 2004 22:55 (twenty years ago) link

"Hi, Guys... welcome to the laughing place!"

(Jon L), Friday, 6 February 2004 23:27 (twenty years ago) link

I was just reading this work of GENIUS, when the shop bell went, so I got up to see who my newest customers were, and it was 2 FUCKING GOTHS!!!! hard and dark like my fucking soul haha, it was really hard to keep a straight face after reading that, but then the male goth sez "have you got any cheesegraters?" right? so I say yes, and he says, and I quote his exact words - "I want the finest one you've got", so I reply, barely keeping it together "it's just a cheesegrater" and the female half starts laughing (NON-GOTH!! NON-GOTH!!) and now I'm sitting here feeling considerably weirded out!!

Pashmina (Pashmina), Saturday, 7 February 2004 14:35 (twenty years ago) link

I would not have been able to wait on them without losing it. Well done!

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Saturday, 7 February 2004 14:36 (twenty years ago) link

Pash, yer a better man than I. :-)

Ned Raggett (Ned), Saturday, 7 February 2004 15:48 (twenty years ago) link

DO you sell cheese graters in a bike shop? or is this bike lingo?

teeny (teeny), Saturday, 7 February 2004 16:06 (twenty years ago) link

PASH'S BIKE STORE AND CHEESE SHOP

Also Specializes in Parrots

Ned Raggett (Ned), Saturday, 7 February 2004 16:08 (twenty years ago) link

I want the finest parrot you've got.

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Saturday, 7 February 2004 16:09 (twenty years ago) link

And make sure it's trained to swear at goths.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Saturday, 7 February 2004 16:09 (twenty years ago) link

I declare this a new meme.

teeny (teeny), Saturday, 7 February 2004 16:10 (twenty years ago) link

If the parrot can also sing like Jon Anderson, even better!

Ned Raggett (Ned), Saturday, 7 February 2004 16:13 (twenty years ago) link

No, it's kind of weird but boring, our old shop got demolished when the area got redeveloped, and we bout a property w/an existing business in hardware. We were going to ditch it all, but is sold too well!!

Pashmina (Pashmina), Saturday, 7 February 2004 16:28 (twenty years ago) link

Nutty!

Ned Raggett (Ned), Saturday, 7 February 2004 16:57 (twenty years ago) link

Do you have nutmeg graters?

Madchen (Madchen), Saturday, 7 February 2004 17:04 (twenty years ago) link

Yes, garlic crushers as well. I got some lobster crackers in for someone last year. We're a Victorinox cookware stockist, among other things - it does actually pay to diversify (as in, I couldn't actually make a living off the specialist bikes I sell). I keep all the domestic hardware down the left side, and all the bikes and parts down the right. It's a shame (in many ways...) that Sean "Geordie Racer" doesn't post here anymore. He's actually been in my shop. Did I mention that I also fix vacuum cleaners? Heh.

Pashmina (Pashmina), Saturday, 7 February 2004 19:33 (twenty years ago) link

He pops up from thyme to thyme

Tracer Hand (tracerhand), Saturday, 7 February 2004 20:13 (twenty years ago) link

NRQ, Tuesday, 8 March 2005 10:32 (nineteen years ago) link

"Marcie, don't be a pussy. You are whinier than my livejournal" is still the best line.

donut debonair (donut), Tuesday, 8 March 2005 19:30 (nineteen years ago) link

This has completely brightened my drab and humdrum day.

The Ghost of Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Tuesday, 8 March 2005 19:40 (nineteen years ago) link

I heart heart heart this thread. It is the best of all the goth threads!

moley@gmail.com, Tuesday, 8 March 2005 21:03 (nineteen years ago) link

'I want the finest cheesgrater you have'

'It's JUST a CHEESEGRATER'

Goths in shunned by Tim Burton shocker!

Paul Ess (Paul Ess), Wednesday, 18 May 2005 17:22 (nineteen years ago) link

That is alternately horrible and hilarious.

The Ghost of Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 18 May 2005 17:25 (nineteen years ago) link

I asked him what was up. “This is not a costumed event.” he replied.

“A costumed event?” I said, “These people are Goths, they dress this way every day.”

Comedy gold.
