what's hilarious about this is that now the jets will start a (marginally) competent QB, which geno...is not
― slothroprhymes, Tuesday, 11 August 2015 22:04 (eight years ago) link
(or at least hasn't been, I don't know how long we can really keep saying he has all this unrealized potential)
― slothroprhymes, Tuesday, 11 August 2015 22:19 (eight years ago) link
i might be one of the last non-jets fans that finds geno to be an interesting prospect but he is never going to make it
― call all destroyer, Wednesday, 12 August 2015 01:34 (eight years ago) link
some guy on twitter called geno "broadway jaw" lolol
Perfect!

The song “Can't Feel My Face” by The Weeknd played at Ford Field when Jets quarterback Geno Smith was announced as inactive before the exhibition game between the Jets and the Lions on Thursday.

has anyone here been to a preseason game? haven't been to a falcons game in a long time and always enjoyed it but at the same time not interested in paying a hundred bucks for nosebleed seats. can see them play the ravens very close to the field (albeit in the endzone) for the cost of a quarter pounder and i figure that scratch whatever itch i have (it is better on tv imo) plus the falcons kinda have this weird preseason rivalry w/ baltimore. is it something where after the first quarter i'm going to be wondering wtf i was thinking?
― balls, Friday, 14 August 2015 20:28 (eight years ago) link
i mean if you're paying 5 bucks for it, why not
― usic ally (k3vin k.), Friday, 14 August 2015 20:29 (eight years ago) link
yeah i'm figuring i paid three times that for jurassic world so i might as well. btw seatgeek has this thing where they'll give you a $20 refund off yr first purchase if you use the code 'lowe' (there are other codes you can google, i just remember that one from zach lowe's podcast) if anyone else is thinking 'hell i'd pay $4 to see the browns' or whatever.

ive watched a little of the pre-season, so eager ive been for the season to start. ive been immediately reminded that in football, with its requirement of complete commitment and utter disregard for personal safety, a non-competitive game hardly resembles the real thing. if youre literally paying 5 bux then of course you should go, you can always leave early.

if the stadium was right there and it was no more than $20 i would rock up for a preseason game and leave at halftime, especially game 2 or 3. however, foxboro is a giant pain in the ass to get to and i think preseason tix start at $40 for the shitty seats.
― Roberto Spiralli, Friday, 14 August 2015 20:51 (eight years ago) link
yeah these seats are being sold second hand, when you buy seasons tickets you have to buy preseason tickets also and alot of ppl just unload them for whatever they can get.

I can see not liking him from the outside, but I ride or die with Phil. When he retires I'll probably stop following the Bolts. Especially if they move to LA.

crazy that concerns about pot made sapp and moss drop to 12 and 21 and lawrence phillips had deal w/ concerns about how he attempted to kill his gf and still only dropped to 6

Phillips is serving a sentence of more than 31 years. He was convicted of choking his girlfriend and later of driving his car into three teens after a pickup football game.
