Last night's bit detailing the "war on cops" Fox propoganda in the face of consistently declining violence against police was pretty eye opening.

I've been watching this show regularly. Probably because on my Hulu app the new episodes are always up on top

A lot of the jokes were good, but the shitty response from the crowd threw him off. When a comedian has to struggle uphill, it fucks up the performance and dilutes the impact of the material a lot of the time, and Wilmore got hurt by the audience's hostility.

those are pretty good except different jokes are premised on Trump and Clinton being prez; make up yr mind, Larry.

Like Colbert in 2006, Wilmore didn't tell "jokes" but said mean truths to rich TV stars' faces, as they got angry. That's why it was funny.

still, Anarchists for Clinton seem to think Obama was funnier.

really hope a bunch of his contributors - Mike Yard, Franchesca Ramsey, Robin Thede, etc. - land on their feet

i felt like it was improving! consistently better than daily show and the panel discussions in the final segment were consistently watchable. Bummer.

yeah I thought it was getting better too. and it was great to have a comedy/news show that was clearly run by minorities + women and reflected their POVs

That would not disappoint me. However it'd be nice if they could salvage the show/brand with new writers and host.

Yeah. I don't blame Stewart for wanting out of a stressful job, that's totally understandable, but it would have been so perfect for him to stay through this campaign and go out on top. I guess the idea was that it would be a perfect time for his replacement because of the never ending gift of trump.
