two curious dachshunds, congenitally handicapped in a squirrel-chasing contest with a poodle and jack russell, sensibly decide to withdraw and sit in the sun

seeing an uptick in old-fashioned hounds around these parts

WAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH no uptick in hounds here, still one dog down :-((((

neighbourhood-ish dog bit its owner's face off earlier

too many dogs crapping in the park.
a bunch of chihuahuas that bark every time you go past the flat on the corner.

Dogs i've never seen that are always barking as I walk through the estate on the far side of the woods to get to the courses I'm doing in the community centre over there.

I had a lol conversation with an Akita owner in the park the other day. Just when he had put me at ease that his Akita bitch wasn't going to tear my defenceless Labrador to pieces and almost convinced me that my prejudices against this breed are ill founded, he added this small caveat: "She can turn sometimes, so just be a bit careful".

I wish dog owners in San Francisco would ditch the prong collars.
