Love it. I hope this means there's possibly a new full-length on the horizon.

Yeah, I hope they're not on the same schedule they were on with the first one where there's a single every 6 months, then an ep, THEN the album sometime in 2017.

I'm going to trust Play It on My Radio is more of an indicator of its quality than that warmed over boring-ass album cover is.
(tbh, this is my most anticipated album of the year now that the KING record is already out there.)

There's apparently a delay in the album being available outside of Sweden at the moment, but*cough*itsonsoulseek*cough*

So this is quite a bit different from the initial singles/first album, but very much in line with the two songs that came out in the last few months. Again, they're really good and utilizing 80s sounds and atmosphere without turning out a bunch of pastiche pieces, but this time it's less Kate Bush/Stevie Nicks and more Italians Do It Better—which is an okay twist, because who knows when those Chromatics and Glass Candy albums are ever going to come out.

This is an extraordinary album imo. The ballads are some of the best Prince approximations I've heard in a while.

I'm not really getting an IDIB vibe on first impressions but I'm really enjoying this. It was the right move to tone down the bombastic production as her voice is strong enough on its own and it felt a little overblown at times on the debut. I wish the big ballads were right at the end of the album though, the pacing is a bit off.

Yeah, after I wrote that I made a dumb face when reading it back. Maybe I was just thinking of the overall "slow-burn" nature of the record.

wow this is great.
prince vibes prob even more striking given the timing of release.

This new album is fantastic. Feels like a big step up from the debut.

this has been my go-to summer jam. even the b-sides from the deluxe version are rockin.

I love this album so much and at times it makes me extremely emotional. "brand new", "everybody wants to be you", "ode to dancefloor", & "you want the sun" are all such magnificent songs
― art baengels (monotony), Saturday, 13 August 2016 00:06 (seven years ago) link
yeah this has crept on me as a recent favourite in a big way
― boxedjoy, Saturday, 13 August 2016 09:45 (seven years ago) link
"Coconut Kiss" is such a jam. "Lost UB" and "You want the sun" also top drawer.

was the last one underrated? seems to be
― tinnitus the night (Ross), Wednesday, 28 March 2018 21:57 (six years ago) link
yeah it was great despite getting very little attention
― ufo, Wednesday, 28 March 2018 22:27 (six years ago) link
it's one of my favourite albums of the decade!
― monotony, Wednesday, 28 March 2018 22:42 (six years ago) link
first five tracks on it would make for the greatest EP of all time and the way I feel about "Play It On My Radio", it's probably the most powerful song I've ever heard about my relation to pop and growing older

Ode To The Dancefloor is such a great closer
