Unsurprisingly...I love "Rhapsody" as well and have been thinking about it the past few days. This has been the latest entry in "Dan and Ned Share a Brain," come back next week.

About a year ago I heard this album in full for the first time (I knew the two singles obv). "Scarecrow" was a standout.

Scarecrow, Carousel, Ornaments of Gold, The Last Beat of My Heart, Rhapsody... this is pretty great album all around

Listening to "Rhapsody" at the moment, I note the degree to which the new Florence + the Machines borrowed elements.

Scarecrow was my favorite then and I'm sure would be if I listened to it right now. So that.

The Killing Jar >>>>>>> Peek-A-Boo

...but I might have to opt for "The Last Beat of My Heart."

Well this is good timing -- Peepshow has been chosen for 33 1/3.

"Scarecrow" or "Killing Jar". I voted the former.

Voted Last Beat of my Heart. Their set on the first Lollapalooza tour (where they played many of these songs) was breathtaking. Dear Prudence was a psychedelic masterpiece. Their set was probably the highlight of the whole show for me, although hearing the NIN mkII thrash metal tracks before the release of Broken was an eye opener too.

i don't know this album but want to vote before this closes, so i will investigate and make a selection because right now i only know the singles.

Can't remember Burn-up for the life of me.
I used to love Rhapsody but i suspect it might be a bit too grandiloquent for me these days.
Boring choice, but I'll vote for Peek-a-boo without much hesitation here.

This is going to be "Peek-a-Boo" in an embarrassing landslide.

seven years pass...

"Burn-Up" and "Last Beat of My Heart" sound like they'd been listening to JAMC and Cocteau Twins.

When it came out I remember loving “Rawhead and Bloodybones”, haven’t listened in decades tho.
