the natasha mosley album seems barely to exist - i can't find production credits anywhere (was wondering which the zaytoven ones were, and there are some amazing sparse, subtle late-night sounds on it). it's not on allmusic or even wikipedia!

couple of interesting things out this week, the mila j mixtape makes pretty good use of her sour sneer and boots has released something called aquaria which...is pretty gnarly and weird on one listen, awkward rhythms and dense production and distorted voices and a hell of a lot going on

the boots thing is interesting, sounds like Beck in midnight vultures mode to me

there's something very 90s about it

the Baltimore rap station has a habit of putting non-official versions of big songs into their rotation, for instance they only ever play the shorter EP version of "Adorn." and the only way they ever play "Swimming Pools" is in a weird mix that affixes a minute of that Lloyd mixtape version to the Kendrick original. so it's not bad but i kind of hate it.
