The best kind.

Ally C (Ally C), Monday, 12 April 2004 10:51 (twenty years ago) link

That's true.

I'm not playing, kids.

the bluefox, Monday, 12 April 2004 11:01 (twenty years ago) link

I hope these hockey kids leave the park in time.

cozen (Cozen), Monday, 12 April 2004 11:26 (twenty years ago) link

ken c (ken c), Monday, 12 April 2004 12:51 (twenty years ago) link

so we can see his ball

ken c (ken c), Monday, 12 April 2004 12:51 (twenty years ago) link

we arrived, to find hockey, ongoing. I telephoned cozen to tell him I hated him and ask where he was. he said he'd seen my hair and it was okay and to continue to the gate. we got up, to their level, as they were being sent away, by the hockey mistress. cozen and two flatmates. we went to a tiny five-a-side (three-a-side) "pitch," which was being used by small people. we went to a bigger five-a-side (seven-a-side) "pitch," which was made out of concrete. ally told us that was where he had to smoke, so that they could film him. ally thought we could hear murdoch's music, from a window. ally wouldn't change his trousers. ally took his watch off. we played, three-a-side, until flatmate #2 (I think) fell (or was he pushed?) and onto glass and cut. flatmate #2 (I think) had to leave. with hyndsight, he should have gone to the pharmacy, after all. then we played cuppy doubles. the numbers said that it was cozen and me Vs. ally and richard 2, with flatmate #1 (I think) in goal. I was already going deaf, due to lack of fitness. cozen and I won. I think I scored two, of the five, but ally said he scored the last one. I had to lie down, on the grass, for a while. they played cuppy singles. ally was in goal and cozen was through and flatmate #1 (I think) was through and richard 2 was out. richard 2 and I sat on the wall. cozen and flatmate #1 (I think) battled. I think cozen scored a couple of goodies but my vision was a little blurred. despite this and despite that, flatmate #1 (I think) won out and scored his and the winner. by then, I had recovered, a little, and we all were standing up and keeping the ball up and, then, richard 2 had to leave but the four, of us, that were left, kept the ball up, a little longer. they were talking about real footballers and how they can kick the ball. some other people, people that we did not and do not know, arrived and we decided to get out. we walked up and onto hyndland road and, there we were, pizza magic. fifteen percent off, if you order online. cozen seemed to be recommending but was, soon, warning off: although they deliver to his flat (nine up, on queer street), he got food poisoning, from their food, once. "that's the magic," said I. "that's the pizza," said cozen. we parted company, at the start of queer street, and ally and I walked to hillhead underground station. a call, from nick, a message, for tracer. we saw a friend, on a large bicycle. he rang his bell, at us, and smiled, at us. on byres road, we saw a mongolian, that I know. I pointed at him, saying to myself "there he is," he smiled and then frowned, thinking to himself, perhaps, that I was saying "there he is," to ally. undergound, we got a train, eventually, and, three stops later, we had another hill to climb and song to sing. if only we could have stopped, for some food, but ally has too many friends. we talked about next week.

RJG (RJG), Monday, 12 April 2004 15:05 (twenty years ago) link

A good time had by all then. Except perhaps flatmate #2, and the Mongolian.

Cathy (Cathy), Monday, 12 April 2004 16:14 (twenty years ago) link

I watched the football.

the bluefox, Monday, 12 April 2004 16:16 (twenty years ago) link

RJG has finally given berth to his latent, inner Gertrude Stein.

Jerry the Nipper (Jerrynipper), Monday, 12 April 2004 16:18 (twenty years ago) link

a good time but I wonder if I will have a better time, when I do almost die.

you watched, from murdoch's flat?

crosspost, haha?

RJG (RJG), Monday, 12 April 2004 16:21 (twenty years ago) link

flatmate #2 played by sam.
flatmate #1 played by simon.
flatmate #2 played by cooke, the allegations say.
flatmate #2 fell, the other allegations say.
richard #2 played by richard.
flatmate #2 is OK, if a little wounded. not his pride, mind.

I enjoyed it.

cozen (Cozen), Monday, 12 April 2004 16:22 (twenty years ago) link

I think my face may be the colour of my skin, again, now.

RJG (RJG), Monday, 12 April 2004 16:24 (twenty years ago) link

one day you'll see my new move and, then, your face will glow again.

cozen (Cozen), Monday, 12 April 2004 16:26 (twenty years ago) link

it's called 'blue steel'.

cozen (Cozen), Monday, 12 April 2004 16:26 (twenty years ago) link

Haha. Cozen is a little bit tasty. And not too shabby a 'baller.

Cook.

We were talking, on the way, about the exciting possibility of, one day, playing with the Nipper and the pf.

"Evening".

the bluefox, Monday, 12 April 2004 19:35 (twenty years ago) link

you watched, from murdoch's flat?

They were each trying to inspire the other to write songs again.

Mooro (Mooro), Monday, 12 April 2004 22:01 (twenty years ago) link

Hello. I am glad I didn't come to the football because instead I pruned a giant fuchsia down to a few twigs and sprigs. I am coming out to play tonight.

Madchen (Madchen), Tuesday, 13 April 2004 08:40 (twenty years ago) link

He succeeded, up to a point.

I am still not sure whether he is allowed round to mine, to get some more inspiration.

It depends what he wears?

the bellefox, Tuesday, 13 April 2004 08:42 (twenty years ago) link

Belle bottoms?

Mooro (Mooro), Tuesday, 13 April 2004 09:27 (twenty years ago) link

Jerry the Nipper (Jerrynipper), Tuesday, 13 April 2004 09:30 (twenty years ago) link

RJG (RJG), Tuesday, 13 April 2004 09:42 (twenty years ago) link

Bless her, you old pervert.

N. (nickdastoor), Tuesday, 13 April 2004 09:42 (twenty years ago) link

N. (nickdastoor), Tuesday, 13 April 2004 09:43 (twenty years ago) link

I suppose I agree with N.

the bellefox, Tuesday, 13 April 2004 09:43 (twenty years ago) link

We should invite her out tonight.

Just to make this more clear. FAP. Tonight. CCA on Sauchiehall Street. All and/or anyone welcome. From 7pm or so. It's OK, Cozen is not coming.

Ally C (Ally C), Tuesday, 13 April 2004 11:56 (twenty years ago) link

so soon.

RJG (RJG), Tuesday, 13 April 2004 16:17 (twenty years ago) link

I just had a minor heart attack and was advised not to go out tonight, but will try to anyway.

N. (nickdastoor), Tuesday, 13 April 2004 16:23 (twenty years ago) link

the oddest one, in the book.

RJG (RJG), Tuesday, 13 April 2004 17:08 (twenty years ago) link

oldest, I mean.

have you got people worried?

RJG (RJG), Tuesday, 13 April 2004 17:08 (twenty years ago) link

Apparently. I don't think it was a minor heart attack but I have pain in my chest and it hurts to breathe deeply.

N. (nickdastoor), Tuesday, 13 April 2004 17:10 (twenty years ago) link

I get it.
