Man, Alan Rickman was great in everything, wasn't he? Great as a villain, great as a romantic lead, great at comedy, great in kids movies.

Which might be the nicest thing I've seen you say about anyone, Morbs. Gawker is shitty, but they are otm when they referred to him as the star of every movie he is in. Rickman even made the Kevin Costner Robin Hood worth watching.

i actually haven't seen him in much, made biggest impact in Truly Madly Deeply; wish i'd caught him on B'way in Liaisons Dangereuses.

when i saw whiney last night we talked about how gen xers and earlier are gonna have near meaningful daily celebrity deaths now because we're in an era now of people aging out who made their bones in the first generation of 70's / 80's media saturation. I don't THINK this is just a lot of us getting old?
