Conforto had a .591 OPS in May and watched that number shrink to .372 in June with an 0-for-10 series in Milwaukee last weekend....

“He looks like he’s been trying to pull everything,” said a talent evaluator who has watched Conforto recently. “That’s not him.”

The MRI on Syndergaard’s elbow showed no structural damage, and he received anti-inflammatory medication. Cespedes is day-to-day with a mild wrist strain.

Zack Wheeler also received positive news on the injury front. After experiencing a setback in his recovery, tests for structural damage to his elbow came back negative. However, he is experiencing sensory nerve irritation.
