how much of an album do you have to hear to know you're not going to like it

obv this risks only listening to free lunches but i'm going through the end of year playlist for the ilx poll and pretty much 2:00 min spread over 4 songs is enough to skip ahead if it isn't grabbing me

even stuff that's just like pleasant enough but sounds like a lot of other stuff you already know and aren't enthusiastic about. when you're listening to like 500 new albums in a row you start to notice that a lot of them sound alike.
