the real tragedy here, despite the party being canceled, is the eating of dominos.

Yeah, jeezus christ, i initially parsed louis' reference to "dominos" as in, the tile game beloved by Cuban immigrants

and now i find out that people in the u.k. eat that ersatz pizza???!!

oh, for the love of "frankie"...

Catsupppppppppppppp dude 茄蕃, Wednesday, 20 August 2008 17:35 (fifteen years ago) link

5,000 unused condoms lying on a table :-(

StanM, Wednesday, 20 August 2008 18:11 (fifteen years ago) link

fwiw British Dominos significantly better than US. not that that's saying much, but it's true.

Pizza Hut is nasty fucking crap wherever you go, tho.

Roberto Spiralli, Wednesday, 20 August 2008 18:15 (fifteen years ago) link

yeah, it's the culinary equivalent of 5000 unused condoms lying on a table.

dell, Wednesday, 20 August 2008 18:16 (fifteen years ago) link

but wherever you buy it, Dominos money goes to fire-bombing abortion clinics , so way to go J4gger bros.

Roberto Spiralli, Wednesday, 20 August 2008 18:18 (fifteen years ago) link

Since Monaghan sold his share in the company 10 years ago and doesn't receive a penny from the company, this hasn't actually been true for a decade now.

I learned to differentiate between "American Pizza" and "actual proper pizza" at a young age, so shit doesn't bother me. Although if we're going for the former, PJ's over Dominos every time.

For the latter, if Jagger Bros live in an area of London covered by Lupa (http://www.lupapizza.co.uk/index2.html), he shoulda hit them up. They do proper stone oven shit, nice use of rosemary.

MPx4A, Thursday, 21 August 2008 09:35 (fifteen years ago) link

Cue invitable shitstorm about how rosemary doen't belong on a pizza, followed by subsequent shitstorm about how people had to google rosemary to find out what it was because EVERYBODY calls it pillaniche.

Then tipping.

If they're reading at that age, they're never gonna become a pro athlete, may as well chub them up.

Yeah srsly Louis wtf were you doing ordering Domino's when Zero Degrees is just up the road?

Matt DC, Thursday, 21 August 2008 09:44 (fifteen years ago) link

On the other hand:

Mango Tandoori Chicken (N)
Grilled tandoori chicken, mango, onions, roasted mixed peppers on a spicy curry sauce. Topped with fresh coriander. £8.50

Fuck me I bet this is an abomination.

FUSION CUISINE

Although why anyone would order the pizza off that menu when they have KILO POTS of moules mariniere, I don't know.

The stickman from the hilarious "xkcd" comics, Thursday, 21 August 2008 09:49 (fifteen years ago) link

We should try and guess the Jagger Bros' Dominos order.

I'm guessing:

Large Mighty Meaty
Medium Hot & Spicy
Garlic mushrooms
Two bottles of Fanta

If you're talking about the same menu I am, the Thermidor one is nigh-on unfuckable with.
