There are always things to be mad about in America, but Trump's rise was die to the willful ignorance of millions of voters and the crass opportunism of Republican leaders who should know better. Not that they ever stood for anything beyond crass opportunism, but I never thought they'd be reckless enough to help a madman they know nothing about grab the reins of power. This was all so avoidable.
