I think it was CNN - I'm reading so many articles I can't recall where I cribbed it from.

yeah this one's not going away. even as spin, his spokesperson's response was weak not well constructed (at one point she makes it sound like he forgot the meetings, in another that he remembered but found it irrelevant).

NYT folded some info about it into one of their earlier reports, and the timestamp hasn't been updated to reflect it.

I mean at this point, the popular narrative among our bubble seems to have more credence. they didn't think they'd win, so they didn't expend a lot of time covering tracks. they colluded with Russia mostly because they wanted to embarrass Hillary and Democrats while garnering favor for Trump's brand along the way. miraculously managed to win, hoped a busy first 100 days plus a Republican controlled Congress would quiet the Russia cries.

not even a conspiracy theory, just boilerplate "corrupt politician who doesn't know how to play the game got sloppy"

course, now, the FBI is part of the Department of Justice, so this will get....interesting.
