this is just like the last time the russians interfered with one of our presidential elections. all the democrats' fault!

if you mean eligible voters, "most Americans" did not sit out the election: https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/no-voter-turnout-wasnt-way-down-from-2012/

"fucking Donald Trump running" persuaded many people to come out who stayed home in 2008 and 2012! Do you ever tire of treating this site like your Facebook page?

cool larry let's rehash this conversation for the 7th time, the old "Anti Suggest Ban" threads needed competition for "most tedious shit ever"

larry, you'll forgive my incredulity wrt your sage PR advice for the Dems when you can't seem to go two posts in any given thread before you start pissing people off.

if the Comey bombshell doesn't happen, Hillary doesn't win by the margins that most media sites are predicting her to, but she probably wins outright.

i want to see trump's tax returns before i'll take the 2016 election seriously. fuck breitbart

reggie (qualmsley), Thursday, 9 March 2017 03:22 (seven years ago) link

Ehhh, I'm sorry I brought this up, we don't need to relitigate the Hillary bullshit. What I tried to say here is, the Democrats are really out of touch, and it's not a surprise they're not doing much damage to Trump, because you need credibility to do that, and they don't have much credibility with anyone, because of things I described above. Whatever.

larry appleton, Thursday, 9 March 2017 03:23 (seven years ago) link

not doing much damage to Trump among Republican voters, who would support their candidate if he teabagged a seal on national television...

among independent voters, he is losing popularity. including those Rust Belt doofuses who broke for him

he's a pile of shit, larry, and most americans are onto him

If I'm wrong, I'll eat shit. It would be far more helpful to get rid of people like Trump if the Democrats weren't such fucking clowns in the first place.

larry appleton, Thursday, 9 March 2017 03:25 (seven years ago) link

his first major executive order stalled out in court and he had to start over, and the Russia scandal has become like an out of control forest fire. yeah, ways to go before it actually leads anywhere, but uhhh, Trump's not exactly Teflon right now

waht, I am true black metal worrior (Neanderthal), Thursday, 9 March 2017 03:26 (seven years ago) link

aaaaaaaaand those most recent numbers probably are still carrying a slight SOTU bump from some voters, too, bad as they are already

wait is the argument really that the democrats should have seen ''pizzagate'' coming, and their failure to foresee this crackpot fringe theory, based on absolutely nothing at all, reveals how out of touch they are? yeah ok dude

Democrats and liberal establishment have a violent aversion to reality, huh. That's the state we're in now, Republicans, and this shit, and those are our only two choices.

larry appleton, Thursday, 9 March 2017 03:38 (seven years ago) link

As far as I can tell, the current dem strategy is to sit back and let Trump and the GOP destroy themselves. Seems to be working just fine. Why would they want to step in the middle of this shitstorm?

larry, I can't believe you think that lena dunham of all people made a damn bit of difference to a single voter who was in play in the recent election. yeah. right. I don't get that pov and prob never will, because it is emotionally distorted balderdash.

President Donald Trump revealed his plan in the event the GOP effort fails: Allow Obamcare to fail and let Democrats take the blame, sources at the gathering told CNN.

you can see this coming a million miles away, but what's frightening is the possibility that it will work

Karl Malone, Thursday, 9 March 2017 03:56 (seven years ago) link

Allow Obamcare to fail and let Democrats take the blame

"Re-elect us because, when we had the full power of government in our hands, we failed to do a single effective thing to prevent Obamacare from failing. We blame the Democrats."

a little too mature to be cute (Aimless), Thursday, 9 March 2017 04:06 (seven years ago) link

you don't even have to blame the democrats just say "see the government doesn't work, it can't work," etc. except the military of course

She did make a difference w/i Dem coalition and Republican opposition. I very much remember reading a lot about it during the campaign. I'm using it as a symbol, too, to represent at least one aspect of what's wrong with Democratic leadership. Why would they put a slimy, unashamed criminal who's only famous because of her wealth, as their spokesperson, when out of the other side of their mouth, they say they're the opposite of this? They totally destroyed their entire position against Trump with stuff like this.

larry appleton, Thursday, 9 March 2017 04:25 (seven years ago) link

can we please just lose this fuckhead please?

Yeah, I'm offering you guys professional insight. Don't like it, I'll stop, but it's not coming from outer space.

larry appleton, Thursday, 9 March 2017 04:29 (seven years ago) link

outer space. the best space.

but you're qualifying the degree to which it can "work" and that's not really the point of their ideology and strength. proving it wrong takes vision and commitment that i don't really think the democratic party is capable of providing but maybe i'm wrong anyway i'm going to bed

rap is dad (it's a boy!), Thursday, 9 March 2017 04:32 (seven years ago) link

One may as well ask why HBO would put a slimy, unashamed criminal who's only famous because of her wealth, as the star of a show they produce and promote and to whom they pay a handsome sum to be associated with? Wouldn't that be completely insane of them?

Here's a thought. Perhaps it is because your slimy unabashed characterization of her is not universally accepted as "reality".
