can't help but think these list questions would yield better results if the question was less "what instances can you list?" and more "what is the effect of having a snare on the 1 and what makes it sometimes work and other times reminds you of the circus?"

I'd say the snare is on the 2 in So Far because that's how it begins. The main riff, well the bulk of the song is in 7/4 over a 2/4 backbeat so you could hear it as alternating every seven beats (snare on 1 or 2) but I wouldn't say that because the 2/4 is totally steady.
I think one or two songs on Can's Delay 1968 have on-the-one snares - Butterfly and Uphill?

There must be a bunch of techno spankers with that kick / snare / clap on every beat. Can hear it in my head but all that's come to mind is Plastkman - Spastik (which has lots of snares) and Nicki Minaj - Stupid Hoe which is mainly claps rather than snares but I guess counts.
Also a lot of fast punk songs I should think.

Thank you, 'Super Bad' was the JB groove I was trying to think of for this thread.
Snare on all four beats shouldn't count, too easy.
