kicked his iron cat

Supercreditor (Dr Morbius), Sunday, 19 March 2017 16:00 (seven years ago) link

I only ever see people wearing those immobilizer boots on the outside of pants.

If he wasn't such a shit Press Secretary he could have made a joke about it with reporters and we'd all already know the reason

So the fact that we have to speculate as to whether his mismatched feet are clinical or just dumb is actually symptomatic of incompetence, again.

SFTGFOP (El Tomboto), Sunday, 19 March 2017 16:20 (seven years ago) link

Plus he stands like he's trying not to piss himself.

lol that guy's foot is hurt and he has to wear a cast so that it heals, what an incompetent idiot

Jesus. What do we think is driving that most of all? TrumpCare pissing off portions of the GOP electorate? Wiretap nonsense revealing for the n-thousandth time that he's a lying pathetic clown? Background sense that something something Russia? Muslim Ban 2.0?

tales of a scorched-earth nothing (Doctor Casino), Sunday, 19 March 2017 18:28 (seven years ago) link

trumpcare is probably the only one of those that might actually be chipping away at support amongst those that were at some point cautiously enthusiastic about him

jason waterfalls (gbx), Sunday, 19 March 2017 18:31 (seven years ago) link

Trumpcare would be my guess, too. There are plenty of poor rural folks who got pulled into Medicaid under the ACA. They now know they're going to be kicked off and have no medical care if Trumpcare passes. There would have been a hell of a lot more of them, too, if so many Republican governors and legislatures hadn't refused Medicaid expansion in their states.

a little too mature to be cute (Aimless), Sunday, 19 March 2017 18:51 (seven years ago) link

i'm still clinging to the impossible dream that backlash to trumpcare will galvanize support for single-payer

jason waterfalls (gbx), Sunday, 19 March 2017 18:53 (seven years ago) link

just you wait!

the Rain Man of nationalism. (Alfred, Lord Sotosyn), Sunday, 19 March 2017 19:04 (seven years ago) link

Should we poll or wager when approval hits 25%? Will it happen before Christmas, or before he gets out of office?

International House of Hot Takes (kingfish), Sunday, 19 March 2017 20:44 (seven years ago) link

yeah this is 100% Trumpcare.

frogbs, Sunday, 19 March 2017 20:57 (seven years ago) link

while I'm sympathetic to many of the general sentiments in that, some of those people sound delusional

jason waterfalls (gbx), Sunday, 19 March 2017 21:54 (seven years ago) link

"some"

the Rain Man of nationalism. (Alfred, Lord Sotosyn), Sunday, 19 March 2017 21:56 (seven years ago) link

well yeah -- I'm thinking specifically of the person that said nothing about trumps track record indicated he was racist etc

jason waterfalls (gbx), Sunday, 19 March 2017 21:59 (seven years ago) link

What would convince you not to vote for him again?

"Generally hard to say. Extreme corruption would do it."

Second person in the same conversation: "I don't care if he's corrupt. Y'all voted for Hillary, and she was the most corrupt candidate of all time."

I'm with Erik Loomis: "The genre of 'let’s talk to idiotic white voters who support Trump even though he will decimate their lives' is already more stale than bread baked on November 8."

Stoop Crone (Trayce), Monday, 20 March 2017 00:02 (seven years ago) link

And I mean, when a story STARTS like this:

The political appointee charged with keeping watch over Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Scott Pruitt and his aides has offered unsolicited advice so often that after just four weeks on the job, Pruitt has shut him out of many staff meetings, according to two senior administration officials.

The Trump admin is so gross and corrupt and compromised that it seems to be doing worse every week, with or without Russia's help.

Josh in Chicago, Monday, 20 March 2017 03:21 (seven years ago) link

The "every agency needs a political operative watching over it to make sure it doesn't stray from the path the leader has set forth" is not even Russsian. It is actually Soviet.

a naive part of me hopes that the public calls to "lower expectations" about the Russia findings were an attempt to publicly make Trump relax a little and let his guard down cos there's really a bombshell but really I do feel like we might be disappointed :/

fuck Nunes somehow managing to blame obama real quick

"Mr. Comey, was there, in your opinion, a wiretap of Trump Tower ordered during the 2016 election"

'I don't think so. Comey don't play dat.'

waht, I am true black metal worrior (Neanderthal), Monday, 20 March 2017 14:10 (seven years ago) link

Nunes is a shit just for leaking "we haven't seen any evidence" quote in the prelim stages of the investigation, it's like....that's the exact opposite of what you're supposed to do.

waht, I am true black metal worrior (Neanderthal), Monday, 20 March 2017 14:10 (seven years ago) link

It's opposite day in America.

I Ate Four Bufords (Old Lunch), Monday, 20 March 2017 14:15 (seven years ago) link

taking a step back and reflecting on a wholly GOP-controlled congress investigating russian cyberwarfare during a presidential election in which the GOP candidate lost the popular vote by three million, without factoring in that it's obvious russia wanted the GOP candidate to win, might be mindblowing, but at least comrade combover was born in america, and doesn't want to steal our guns while imposing sharia law, so there's that

reggie (qualmsley), Monday, 20 March 2017 14:18 (seven years ago) link

damn I didn't expect him to outright confirm the investigation
