is cuban gonna get fined for shoving the camerman or was it innocuous enough

triple-hater protection (J0rdan S.), Sunday, 10 May 2009 00:11 (fifteen years ago) link

it was just a lil shove but im sure stern and cuban have an agreement that cuban can do things and drop a lil 25k in the nba cares bucket and continue being a "character"

Too bad the refs blew an obvious call to ruin a great game.

Mega clutch play by Carmelo.

ok so cavs/hawks decided to get interesting in game 3 too

THE_REAL_PHIL (Dr. Phil), Sunday, 10 May 2009 01:24 (fifteen years ago) link

Off-topic: RIP Chuck Daly. Very sad.

Daniel, Esq., Sunday, 10 May 2009 01:33 (fifteen years ago) link

being a rockets fan is getting to be ridiculous. you'd think the odds would line up eventually and everyone would be healthy for once. tho i am kind of hoping, just for fun (and fuck it, really, let's experiment since we're cooked), that adelman puts out his micro lineup of brooks, lowry, landry, hayes, and wafer for extended stretches tomorrow.

ryan, Sunday, 10 May 2009 01:52 (fifteen years ago) link

tough break rockets. RIP chuck daly

Huh?

Daniel, Esq., Sunday, 10 May 2009 02:42 (fifteen years ago) link

I was sorry to hear Bird's rap record too. Terrible flow.

Alex in SF, Sunday, 10 May 2009 02:43 (fifteen years ago) link

He's a better rapper than Shaq.

Daniel, Esq., Sunday, 10 May 2009 02:44 (fifteen years ago) link

Better raper too.

Alex in SF, Sunday, 10 May 2009 02:50 (fifteen years ago) link

damn. after the c's, houston was the team i've most been rooting for in these playoffs. i pick some real winners don't i?

collardio gelatinous, Sunday, 10 May 2009 02:52 (fifteen years ago) link

Well the Celtics aren't dead yet.

Alex in SF, Sunday, 10 May 2009 02:54 (fifteen years ago) link

if they lose tomorrow they are

THE_REAL_PHIL (Dr. Phil), Sunday, 10 May 2009 02:56 (fifteen years ago) link

xpost - no, true, but it's like watching a greek tragedy. doom awaits around the corner.

collardio gelatinous, Sunday, 10 May 2009 02:57 (fifteen years ago) link

I'd like to see the Cavs face a team that's won more than 47 games before I anoint them champions, but so far they look very hard to beat.

Alex in SF, Sunday, 10 May 2009 03:01 (fifteen years ago) link

i love lebron james

triple-hater protection (J0rdan S.), Sunday, 10 May 2009 03:08 (fifteen years ago) link

Lebron plays like he's using a cheat code

Can't stop the dancing chickens (dyao), Sunday, 10 May 2009 03:09 (fifteen years ago) link

when he is making threes he is totally unguardable

triple-hater protection (J0rdan S.), Sunday, 10 May 2009 03:10 (fifteen years ago) link

My only consolation in the eventual demise of the Rockets is that a Nuggs-Lakers series is guaranteed

Can't stop the dancing chickens (dyao), Sunday, 10 May 2009 03:16 (fifteen years ago) link

that 3 pt bank shot was O_O

THE_REAL_PHIL (Dr. Phil), Sunday, 10 May 2009 03:25 (fifteen years ago) link

they are admitting that shit:

“At the end of the Dallas-Denver game this evening, the officials missed an intentional foul committed by Antoine Wright on Carmelo Anthony, just prior to Anthony’s three-point basket,” Joel Litvin, NBA president of league and basketball operations, said in a statement issued by the league about two hours after the game.

johnny crunch, Sunday, 10 May 2009 05:03 (fifteen years ago) link

Officials: Bennett Salvatore, Ken Mauer, Mark Wunderlich

David R., Sunday, 10 May 2009 05:51 (fifteen years ago) link

Just caught the recap on that Antoine Wright fall - not as obvious as I thought it would be. If you're Wright, you wrap the dude in a bearhug - don't take chances.

Also, Dahntay Jones over Dampier was extremely filthy - may Dallas always have a cardboard cutout stand-in for their center, forever and always

Can't stop the dancing chickens (dyao), Sunday, 10 May 2009 06:19 (fifteen years ago) link

Ed Hochuli misses one call and gets a demotion. Bennett Salvatore has made literally DOZENS of terrible calls and yet he's still out there. I just don't get it. This one was even worse than Dirk's touch on Dwyane Wade back in 2006.

Mr. Snrub, Sunday, 10 May 2009 13:51 (fifteen years ago) link

Antoine Wright fall foul

Kobe Doin' Work also gives an unfiltered real-time look at the game, with a no-girls-raped running commentary by KB24 himself.

"I think in years to come high school coaches, college coaches, maybe some pro coaches will use this thing for their players. I really believe that."

Alex in SF, Sunday, 10 May 2009 15:18 (fifteen years ago) link

Actually really curious about this. Plus unprecedented access to Kobe's rapes. Wow the league really went all out on this one.
