This is fun. I bet there's one for every situation.

Lena Headey is really good. I think her Cersei is good. I think some of the dialogue and situations they give Cersei are not.

so much of the last couple episodes was devoted to pairing off characters and having them spit a few wary or confrontational lines at each other. all of it was breaking the awkwardness or score-settling or reunion shit. lots of "it's good to see you again" type shit. like i've said I enjoyed this season a lot for spectacle and entertainment purposes but the different between this and the really intricate and carefully plotted first four seasons is pretty, uh, stark. but that's all due to the source material.

i am curious to see what qyburn will do with the wight in a bag's corpse. i bet he's gonna cook up some insane shit

i liked that they took time to show him visibly aroused by this fucked-up creature.

perhaps also concerned about how a crossbow might/might not work on wights and how many crossbows he'll have to burn before realising he could light the arrows.

would have been nice if he piped up during a silent part of the truce negotations... "is there... anything at all to be said for a very big crossbow?"

I rag on the show and the acting a lot but this is incorrect

just painfully hard to listen to. they're all struggling uphill against this writing, but damn.

i've been inured to dinklage's terrible accent attempt at this point.

sophie turner is really good, as is anyone over the age of 55

cersei's speech after she returned from the meeting with tyrion was astoundingly bad. made marginally better by the reveal later that she was lying through her teeth, but still...

I don't live on the planet where lena headey and peter dinklage are bad at acting and sophie turner is good at acting.

i don't think there are many bad actors on this show tbh (i'm ambivalent on some), but there are miscast actors. i don't think Gillen was bad as Littlefinger, but his voice was hilarious. he went full rasp when he realized what was happening. "i'm sorry lady sansa i'm a bit confused..."

c'mon heady is really good i think. she hams it up appropriately. i think it helps that, until this season at least, i've always found her character to have some real pathos. she's a figure out of shakespearean or greek tragedy.

yeah I think qyburn is gonna be enamored of the walker's power and do something dumb

But was it ever implied that it's anything more than a regular corpse once "killed"?

to go back to something i've been marinating on, they really blew it w/the knife scene earlier this season, they completely telegraphed it when Bran dropped that "chaos is a ladder" bit (and when we barely saw him the rest of the season til the trial.) as soon as i saw him sitting there, it was like, well of course this Littlefinger shit will come out right here and now.

If they were trying to create any suspense at Winterfell, they should have pulled back on the Arya = psycho stuff, maybe just made her a bit less icy and a bit more PTSD or distant, made Sansa a bit more trusting of LF from the get go (and made LF a bit more "shocked" at what happened to her w/Ramsay), and then during this trial (if it even had to happen), maybe have Bran take a look at the knife at some point and then hold it and then, boom, it all hits him.

or maybe just handle Bran's realization better, and LF's subsequent awareness that the game is up. maybe he leaves in the night, and he's dealt with later. it seems as though he was very, very bad at recognizing when he was trapped.

No one else is concerned that Bran looked freshly shaved but have you ever wondered why they never show anyone shaving? This show is so dumb.

The question is what they did with Littlefinger's body (also whether Arya sliced his face off in the process) as presumably the Night King will raise more of the dead from graves south of the Wall.

and turns out he had the best character arc by far in the season. like you feel it had a beginning middle end with a real build instead of a random sets of events fan servicing.

i figure it's on the table, since the current imaginations of the writers seems about as inventive as browsing /r/gameofthrones and picking the best fan fiction plots to write in

Not sure I enjoyed the Zombie dragon destroying everything being crammed into the final few minutes rather than leaving it to look forward to in s8e01 rather than some Saving Private Yara snoozefest.

Also come on Bran, why haven't you told anyone all your super secrets up til now?
LF death was satisfying, good recap on why he's p much to blame for everything.
